We spent 9 nights in Tanzania; 3 of which were at Serengeti Wilderness Camp in the central area (5 stars) and 3 nights in Serengeti Wilderness Camp in the North (3.5 stars), right on the Mara River. Our family of 5 (parents in one tent, 3 teens in the other) stayed in 2 tents. These are two different camps but... More

I think it’s important to note that some reviews here are for the camp I’m reviewing but some appear to be for another the Serengeti North camp. A friend and I brought a group here last year and it was the highlight of their safari. I think it’s safe to say the same for the group I brought here this... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and it is almost on the banks of river Mara, and so on the right time one could get to see crossing from the camp itself. The camps being laid on rough ground had uneven floor and so uncomfortable bed position too. The chemical toilets were not working well in few tents. The dinner was... More

We stayed for two nights in the Serengeti Wilderness camps in the Northern Serengeti by Wild frontiers. It was really amazing migration camp located Very near the Mara River. We were in the Right place but at the Wrong time, due to the migration which was happening few kms away from this camp, since this area was full of tall... More

We were fortunate to spend four days at this wonderful location in the heart of the Serengeti. Our tent which was spacious, and clean was an ideal location to experience the wildness that is the Serengeti. Every day we would have the wildebeest as neighbors. The last day we were there, in the middle of the night, a lion took... More

We requested that our safari operator book us into the wilderness camp for our three nights at Serengeti NP, after reading the reviews here and we were not disappointed. The tents are clean and the location is amazing. Kudos to the camp supervisor, he runs the camp excellently. The service and the food were superb and we always felt welcome... More

The camp was incredible - the tents were clean, large and so comfortable. We arrived late to camp after a small mishap during the day, and the staff immediately filled our shower with hot water, brought us much needed drinks, and prepared dinner for us. The staff were so kind and made us feel so welcome. The food was incredible,... More

Although we stayed here 2 nights, we were out on game drives so much that we didn't get to enjoy the camp itself as much as I would have liked. There is a nice tent set up as a lounge with comfortable chairs, a cash bar, and plenty of games. The dining tent was a bit dark but they serve... More

This is a great semi-permanent camp. It is located in the seronera area of the serengeti. I stayed with my wife and 2 daughters in March, 2014. This is a small, intimate camp. These are nice tents with en suite bathrooms and a bucket shower. Good hot water, but goes quickly. Read the directions on how to do it and... More

By the time we stayed at this camp, we had stayed in many lodges with "tents" built on platforms with permanent plumbing and wood floors. Serengeti Wilderness Camp is a real tent, with floors made of tent material, a pump toilet (kind of like some small boats I've been on) and bucket showers. So you're roughing it a little bit....
