Serengeti North Wilderness Camp was located in August about 100 meters from a bend in the Mara river where there had been a crossing a day or two before we arrived and there were tens of corpses in the river. This is a tented camp and surprisingly well equipped. It is in the middle of nowhere no WIFI no radio... More

This was the fourth place that we stayed on our safari. I'll start by saying...don't expect luxury here. This is a mobile tented camp that moves every few months to let the ground regenerate and therefore there is no running water. It is also in the middle of nowhere which means that it is difficult to bring in supplies. Pro's:... More

We stayed at the Wilderness Camp for two nights and it was unforgettable. We received a very warm welcome by the very friendly staff who ensured our stay there was memorable. The tents were luxurious and extra cosy covers were available for the most comfy beds as well as warm water for washing Our bed was even turned down each... More

During an 8 day safari stayed at Serenegti Wilderness Camp Central and Sernegeti Wilderness Camp North. Wilderness Camp Central (5 STARS!!!) Stayed here for two nights while on safari. It is a tented camp run mostly on solar power. This is an example of a very "green" tented camp. The service from the beginning to the end was excellent. The... More

We stayed with the Wilderness Camp for three nights during our recent week long safari in Tanzania. The camp far exceeded our expectations. The tents were impeccable and the bedding was so cosy you did not want to get out. The shower was also amazing, a highlight due to poor pressure from other camps we had stayed in previous nights.... We did a 10day safari with Flash Safaris (Magda Vrijs, dutch owner). Because it was september she advised us to travel up north because of the migration of the wildebeest. It was a grand succes thanks to our guide Roger! We arrived at Serengeti Wilderness Camp North at the end of the afternoon. We had a warm welcome, left our... More

We stayed in this camp one night, because Kati Kati Camp, where we actually wanted to stay for three nights, was not available. Actually I thought that Serengeti Wilderness Camp is not as comfortable as Kati Kati, but ... surprise ... we liked it even more. The difference was the bathroom, because Serengeti Wilderness camp has chemical toilets and no... More

We stayed here for one night on our travels, and a very good night it was. The camp was well set up and had all you needed for a comfortable stay. The camp seemed to run smoothly and all staff were very polite and good English. Comfortable beds and cosy tents. Just what was needed.

I am a camping hater and a bit of a hotel snob, and I never would have chosen to camp if I wasn't on a once in a lifetime safari trip. I read great things about this place, and am happy to report they were all true. Positive - Quiet and very close to animals, SO different then staying in... More
