We stayed at Singita's Faru Faru lodge and their Explorer Camp during our visit to Tanzania in June of 2014. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were greeted with genuine affection by every member of the staff. I've been fortunate to stay at some of the best hotels and lodges around the world and I... More

This is luxury in the wild! Every detail has been considered, even AC in the rooms and strong wifi. The staff is friendly, always available, and most helpful. Our room overlooked two pools where zebras froliked. Giraffes also came by to check out the water. The monkeys were as interested in us as we were in them, staring down from... More

The lodge, staff, location and the setting in Grumeti, on the river was an ideal setting for being as one with " the animal kingdom". The lodge and the service with about 2 staff per guest and 90% of staff local, was outstanding. But the vastness of Eco system and experiencing nature on its own terms was the breathtaking element. Bravo... More

This is our third experience staying at Singita run lodges in Africa. Singita is the "Four Seasons" of Safari lodges. Our room at Faru Faru overlooked a watering hole with was inviting to the wildlife, was large and well equipped with a king bed in the middle of the room surrounded by a mosquito net, a bathroom with double vanity,... Having moved here from Singita Mara River we were amazed that this lodge was even better!Clearly you do not see the river crossings but the accommodation was spectacular with aircon in the tent plus good lighting and tea/coffee making equipment in the room.Food was excellent -two swimming pools and a terrace on the restaurant for lunch with great views. We were... We spent 3 nights here in the middle of our safari and it exceeded our expectations in every way! The rooms are very large with a contemporary look that blends in perfectly with the bush. The outdoor shower is wonderful and the beds incredibly comfortable. The common areas are open and comfortable with amazing food and service. With accommodations for... More

This is one of the most amazing places we've ever been (sharing first place for incredible with Londolozi in South Africa). You don't stay in a room--it's your own house. All that's missing is cooking facilities and since they have an incredible chef, you don't really need one. The service is spectacular, the food is superb, the game drives (Peter... More

The Faru Faru lodge has a different feel from some of the other lodges at Singita. It sits on a hillside and is more "in the woods," if you will. The pool area is very nice and the vantage point is great because you are both in and over where the animals roam. The lodge is at the end of... More

I stayed at Singita with my husband during our honeymoon to Kenya, Tanzania and the Maldives. Our favorite part of the trip by far was our stay at Singita Faru Faru. We have never been to a more special place - everything was superb and we were amazed by the attention to detail and how perfect every single aspect of... More

I've read the recent reviews and I don't think anyone has overstated how great this place is. This was our last lodge on our two plus weeks on safari in January/February 2015. Our room was luxurious, but in a rustic, safari kind of way. The outdoor shower, the in room siting scope, automatic windows, free international calling are just some... More
