So let me just say, a lot of people asked why we would want to do a honeymoon in Tanzania. So I said, "The real question is, why not?!" It's been a dream of mine to visit and let me tell you, there are no regrets in the slightest and I would love the opportunity to do it all over... More

We were fortunate to be able to spend a month in Africa on safari, in Botswana and then in Kenya/Tanzania. Our last camp was Olakira in the northern Serengeti. I can't recommend this camp highly enough. First of all, even in the "dry season," the camp was gorgeous, with green open plains and beautiful rock formations (hiding lions and cheetahs).... More

I cannot say enough about this camp. We were a group of six - two parents who are sixtiesh. Three kids In their Twenties and a close family friend. We all loved it. we had fantastic food and fantastic service. The tents themselves are clean beautifully decorated with every appointment imaginable. The flush toilets and showers are eco friendly and... More

There are very few places that treat you like family and you also get engaged in the lives of the various animals. We went in the time of the migration and it was fantastic ! Karim our guide was amazing he knew that when the Wldebeast would be ready to cross the Mara river and when it was a waste... More

We had a great stay in the camp. It started the moment we were picked up from the airstrip by Ebenezer. Just out of the strip we saw the first game. We stayed four nights and have seen different things every day. Three crossings, a Hyena kill, the big five with youngs(even the rhino had a baby). Back in camp... More

We visited the Serengeti National Park in late September for 3 days. I wasn't sure of what a camp in the banks of the Mara river would be like. To my surprise it was as comfortable as any of the other locations we stayed at. Don't expect telephones by the bed or TV. Hot water for the wash stand is... More

Kenneth, Anna and the entire Asilia staff made this the experience of a lifetime! We were treated so wonderfully by everyone, it really felt as if we were part of a new family. Accommodations and food were first class, and our guide, Karim, did an outstanding job tracking and positioning us for the most unbelievable viewing experiences. The wildebeest migration... More

This was our first trip to Africa and our first safari. We spent a total of nine days in Oliver’s Camp and Olakira Camp, both operated by Asilia. All the details of our stay were organized by Joris Smit of Jorafrica. Joris is marvellous. He listens carefully to your needs, and ensures every detail is fully covered. Before we left... More

Olakira is in the Serengeti National Park. It was a magical experience. The staff were amazing, friendly and really helped to make our stay so memorable. The tents were well decked out with a flushing toilet and hot showers. You really feel part of the wilderness and see the wildlife from the camp and your personal tent. This camp is... More

The perfect stay!!! Great luxurious tents in the middle of the wilderness! Outstanding service experience and delicious food!!! The staff did everything to make you really feel "home"! Guides (ask for Emma) are super knowledgeable and try their best to give you the perfect game experience. This is probably the best place to catch one of the famous Mara crossings!... More
