The two days at Njari Lodge were a big experience. It is a place where few tourists arrive, situated close to the forest and above the village of Uru. People are very friendly and you feel really welcome. It was a great experience to visit the families of the stuff of the lodge, walk in the village and in the forest. The lodge has no electricity. Water is pumped by a foot pump and there is a washbasin in front of the cooking hut. In the morning I had some difficulty to wash me observed by the kitchen staff. The next day I discovered a closed room, probably a washing room. The friendly stuff prepared a bucket of hot water and I succeeded in a better personal hygiene than the day before. The floors should need to be cleaned, but this observation was the only negativ one. We really liked all aspects of our stay at Njari Lodge and of this project.
