Fit for purpose. Like most reviewers we stayed one night before and one night after our climb. All our meals and room cost were inclusive. The hotel and rooms are okay but the customer service of staff not a patch on the staff in the other hotels we stayed in elsewhere in Tanzania. For those interested. Taxi from Arusha to... More

This hotel was booked as a part of our Kilimanjaro climb. African Walking Company (AWC) was our tour operator for the climb. We arrived at Kilimanjaro Mountain Resort (KMR) a few days before our climb started. Our rooms were quite large. The hair dryer in my bathroom was broken. At some point, during our stay, my TV stopped working. We... More

Great Location for activities around Kilimanjaro National Park. Pricey and the staff are not welcoming. You can hardly see a smile. Food is average and bar is ok. There is a nice swimming pool on property. Very demanding concerning the times that we have to go for dinner or breakfast as I felt you could not relax. I would try... More

Stayed here 2 nights during my trek to Kilimanjaro. Room was very spacious. Food wasn't so good. Had a decent bar, not much else to do there as the hotel is in a remote area. Staff lacked enthusiasm. I would give it a 2/3 star rating.

First, the good: rooms are spacious, the bar sells decent beer and, after spending six days living in a tent on a mountain with no running water, the bed was vaguely comfortable and I was able to wash myself. Now for the bad: staff are dilatory, the food is mediocre at best and embarrassingly bad at worst (chef: please note... More

I stayed here before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, staff are very helpful and the food is great. There's also free Wi-Fi in the bar although intermittent. I was able to safely leave personal items for free while climbing and able to pay an additional fee for a late checkout on the day of... More

I stayed here for two nights before my Mt Kilimanjaro ascent and one night afterwards. The staff were extremely pleasant and always willing to help. The food was good, especially breakfast and prices seemed reasonable. The grounds were attractive and they even have a giant tortoise wandering around!

We stayed here before and after our Mt. K. trek. When we arrived we were greeted with fresh fruit juice and a friendly staff. The rooms are basic but fully functional. The hotel is very clean, the staff is constantly cleaning. The staff were great with every request. Food was ok. The bar area was very nice and a great... More

This is a great place to stay before and/or after climbing Kilimanjaro. The rooms are clean spacious and comfortable and the pool and resturant/bar are relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to leave items not needed on the climb

This hotel is a very lovely place to relax before and after your hike up Kili. However, their policies (in my opinion) are one of bait and switch when it comes to fees. When we checked in, we were told our rooms were $135USD (for two, inclusive) which turned out to be false. In fact they were charging $135USD per... More
