I stayed at Bablyon Lodge with friends who stay there often, and am so glad this is the place they have chosen as their go-to spot! Bobbie and the rest of the staff treat their guests with honor and make you feel right at home. The food was excellent with a blend of local favorites and international fare, and the... More

This place is simply amazing. Queit, peaceful getaway I am definately spending my getaways here whenever I am in the country. The staff was very friendly and we had a chat about the local area and culture with abit of lessons on the history too. I went for a culture walk with one of the guides.A very enlightening experience. I... More

After I made the booking on the website, the receptionist called me within five minutes and confirmed my booking. Thus I got the impression that the hotel actually did have hot showers, good food and quick service... however we were a bit disappointed. The rooms are quite funny and, if you like funny rooms, cosy. A funky blue colour on... More

Dear Guest, I am sorry you did not find our three rooms as charming as we thought they will be. Yes we have a blue colour that is unique designed by our Belgium friend who is a designer and we have received a lot of positive feed back from most of the guests. we will continue to monitor the preference... We felt that Babylon Lodge was a great place to stay for budget conscious travelers looking to stay in a smaller city than Moshi or Arusha. The manager, Bobby, was extremely kind and responsive. The hotel was not the cheapest place we stayed, but it was very nice compared to other accommodations we saw in Moshi. Bobby also helped arranged... More

Stayed there for 3 nights. Bobby the manager was really friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very beautiful garden and basic rooms. The one day trek was well organised and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff did their best, but they could do with a bit of training, we had to wait for a fair amount of time for food in... More

My stay at the Babylon Lodge was pleasant, as were the room and the general environment. What raises the standards of this company is its customer service, which was genuine and always helpful, from helping us choose the appropriate route on Kilimanjaro, to the porters and guides, choosing a driver, shopping for snacks before the hike, communicating with the airport... I was very apprehensive about choosing the right company for my Kilimanjaro hike. There are so many options that you don't want to pick the wrong one for something like this, which is no doubt a once in a lifetime experience. I was travelling with a friend, and interestingly, both myself and my friend independently liked the email reply best... More

The hotel was good and the staff were nice but be carefull with the extras like laundry, daytrips and bus tickets. They will try to charge you at least twice the real price. The food was also poor, monotonous and overpriced.
