We stayed at the Amani Beach Hotel for two nights at the end of our safari. We were two families with children. We were made to feel most welcome by the hosts. The children were catered for really well, friendly staff. The setting was just lovely, tropical paradise, very relaxing for a wind down after a hectic holiday. Food was... more

My wife and I visited Amani Beach Hotel in October 2009 together with our son, daughter in law and grandchild. We stayed four nights and our son and family one night, work calling. We had a very nice weekend enjoying our grandson playing in the pool or on the wonderfully located beach and then some days together for relaxation, reading... more

Less than one hour away from Dar es Salam, the ideal break for few days after a safari to relax and enjoy the beauty of unspoiled endless beaches... After a very warm welcome at the reception, the porters helped us to bring our suitcases in the bungalow which was decorated with hundred of bougainvillea flowers.. so romantic We had a... more

Only a very short drive from Dar es Salaam this small scale, luxury resort is a wonderful romantic get away. We spent four nights here June 2008 enjoying the fact that there is nothing to do but laze by the pool and relax. On weekdays the resort is quite empty, but during the weekend it fills up with expats (it... more

We were in Amani 2 weeks ago and only a word can describe our emotions: FANTASTIC. The wonderful rooms immersed in the green of forest, the amazing sea and its colours, the pool and the restaurant... so good!!!! And the weather is marvellous!!!! Absolutely well-advised for everybody. more

Amani beach hotel is that perfect combination of sun, sea, sand and serenity that you always dream of experiencing. All you have to do is relax, receive impeccable service, eat the most delicious food from the hotel's own farm, and enjoy the spectacular beach & warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. We had a truly magical time; ALL thanks... more

I had the pleasure of spending a day at the Amani Beach Hotel with a friend of mine, who had recently just spent the weekend at the resort with his fiancee and recommended that we spend a day there relaxing. We were greeted by Paulo and Dia and although both were busy preparing for a large wedding group soon to... more

We were also guests at the wedding - Amani is stunning, the website does not do it justice. The rooms are like houses and the beds were soooo comfortable. The views from the rooms exquisite and with only a few rooms available it is incredibly private. The staff were very helpful and friendly - Paulo and Dia were good hosts... more

I would like to second 'ancient mariner's' review of this hotel.I was a guest at his daughter's wedding there and stayed one of the fanastic rooms-which are more like houses. They are huge! In fact they are self contained cottages really. Paulo and Dia's hospitality was second to none and the rest of the staff where there to ensure every need... more

Firstly, the Amani is now under new management. Paulo and Dia are Italian/Rumanian respectively and have transferred from several very successful years at the Lake Manze Lodge in the Selous Game Reserve. After only 2 months they have transformed the Amani from a failing establishment to one of the best run beach resort hotels we have stayed at . The... more
