Having reviewed the Palm Beach Hotel early last year I feel to mention a few, mostly positive, changes which have taken place since. The first thing that has changed are the room rates. With an increase in operating costs and what seem to be contious good occupancy rates one cant really blame the management for that decision. The booking was... more

Small adequate, mid-range/budget, hotel in Dar. Rooms basic but functional with aircon. The aircon worked but there was little correlation between shown temperature and actual room temperature. One of our rooms had a musty smell which had gone by the morning. The hotel is clean and the showers powerful and hot. TV with various channels – the kids were happy.... more

I stayed at this hotel in Dar for four nights as part of a conference in June 2006. The hotel is run and managed by a Scottish family and has been totally renovated in the past couple of years. I really enjoyed my stay in the Palm Beach. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were impeccable.... more
