We were put up in this hotel by Precision Airways when our flight from Zanzibar to Nairobi was cancelled and we were re-routed via Dar-es-Salaam. Fortunately we only stayed there for two and half hours before our taxi collected us at 3 a.m. to take us back to the airport. The reception area looked ok - dated but clean enough... more

I stayed in Hotel karibu in August 2006. It's just off Haile Selassie Road on Msasani Peninsula. Although the rooms are air-conditioned and clean, the hotel is clearly over its prime. The restaurant is under average. For good food go around the corner to Hot in Africa. more

I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel after stupidly making a booking on their website. The main reason I booked was because the hotel offered aircon rooms and had a pleasant looking swimming pool for much less than the other hotels with this facility.
