I have rarely looked forward to getting out of a hotel as much as I did the Protea Courtyard in Dar es Salaam. The positives were - the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the courtyard is pretty and the pool is nice but tiny. The negatives - we had a room on the ground floor by the pool which was damp (damp sheets), one of the bed side lamps was broken, the TV channels were really bad, the safe didn't work,... more

----------- The Courtyard hotel is nice and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's architecture is much more enjoyable than the usual concrete hotel blocks. Though, the rooms and the restaurant tend to be somewhat dark. Yet, there is one thing about this hotel which is really special, and this is, as the name indicates, the courtyard.... more
