Very nice hotel in the hart of the citry. Nice bar on 8th floor. The Casino also is very interesting. They have a thai SPA which was very good. Also their Thai restaurant was not bad. more

Putting aside South Africa, this is heaven. Nice and very comfortable room. Internet access, Casino, good gym, good breakfast and my black berry works in Tanzania. There is a really a 5 star hotel in Africa. more

From the moment you stepped through the doors, the hotel oozes swank. I went there for a conference that was held in the hotel. The view of the port is amazing, the hotel is very nice, the pool a bit small, and the choices of restaurants good. Odd enough, of all the places I have travelled, this nice 5 star... more

My family spend one night at the property in March before boarding a boat in Dar Es Salaam. The property seems newly renovated with sleek dark wood furnishings and glass accents. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked really nice. Dinner was group catered but fine. The telephone in the room didn't work and high speed... more

We had to spend a night in Dar es Salaam and chose to stay at the Kempinski. Based on the knowledge that their global brand is well known for excellent service and standards we had no thoughts off booking anywhere else. In future we will think again. The hotel was average, the service was poor, and the room, although nice,... more

This hotel is fantastic, excellent and modern rooms, good service, great roof-top bar, excellent buffet breakfast. This is a great place to relax and regroup. Weaknesses are 1) front desk (slow and a little uncertain) 2) ATM was not working and 3) roof-top pool (water quality seemed very suspect). more

The Kili has got to be one of the best hotels in Africa for unparalleled comfort and luxury. Having stayed in the Old Kili before its transformation I was intrigued to see what had changed, on arrival it was more a question of what hasn’t. The Kempinski Group have done a remarkable job in creating a stylish luxury hotel were... more

I stayed in Kempinski Dar Es Salaam for 3 nights during my long weekend getaway to Dar Es Salaam & Zanzibar. The hotel was located in a busy but prestigious area on the seafront, surrounded by many historical buildings (used as govt offices), so the neighbourhood is very pleasant. I found it safe to walk alone to explore the area... more

Was positively surprised by the clean, sophisticated design atmosphere. Has nothing to do with Africa, but after a while in the bush, this may be exactly what you want. Great bar on top floor. World class breakfast. Nice rooms with good view over the bay. Even the recreation value was not bad at all. Infinity pool and very good spa... more
