Overnight stay was ok. Slow service. Ok rooms. Most power outlets in my room were out of order. Slow service is typical in many hotels. Check in, then go to the next kiosk to pay then return to get your key. It took 45 minutes. There was nobody else there but me.

Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms especially in the new wing, good breakfast included Beautiful pool/bar area. Walking distance to ferry and although it's a bit of a walk you can walk to the fish market. An open market right next door. Traffic in town was terrible, but the hotel was great.

Good enough for a night or two of stay. Nothing much to speak of in terms of facilities. Seemed accessible but for horrible traffic jams. Easy to locate - most drivers know the place. Rooms are OK for a short stay. Value for money.

This hotel is located near downtown Dar es Salaam. I have been here several times before for business reasons and most of the time I have had the same problems. First, arrival and then get to hear that there is no room although reservations have been made. It will be OK in the end, but it is not nice to... More

Located conveniently in the downtown of Dar Es Salaam, Peacock is my choice when staying in Dar. Neat rooms with all necessary appliances, a pool (very rare in the downtown hotels!), and delicious food. Breakfast seemed good as well, the fruits are perfect in Tanzania so to be honest I only had those.

I would have to say the staff here were really very helpful and friendly. But the hotel itself just lets itself down with a series of really bad management decisions. For a mainly business hotel, having a live band play every Wednesday night (until after 11pm) is a stupid decision. Even with earplugs I was unable to sleep from the... More

The receptionist ignored us for almost five minutes and was less than friendly when she finally looked our group. There had been a theft from one of our party on our arrival to Tanzania, so at the end of our trip our small group was upgraded to the newly built suites behind the original hotel. Our room lacked a safe... More

The good part of this hotel, is the staff and for Tanzania the price (around USD 95per night inc breakfast). Very friendly and also very helpful . The bar around the pool area is a great place to relax and the other guest were all very friendly. Rooms are good sized. The breakfast was very acceptable as was the location... More

We stayed at the Peacock hotel for 1 night prior to our safari to the southern parks of Tanzania and as a day room after finishing our safari. We had airport transfers included in the stay and both were prompt and there when we needed them to be. As our flights arrived/departed in the middle of the night, traffic was... More

Was here in December 2013, Hotel is ok. The staff are friendly. The food is average. The rooms are okay, didnt like the bathrooms, they are abit too small for my liking and make sure you check the TV, AC, and locker to be sure they work. The best thing about this hotel is that it is close to the market... More
