The staff were lovely, and it is a convenient location for a business trip. The rooms were nice, clean, and the beds comfy. My main problem was the food. Often they didn't have items on the menu, what they do have is not amazing, and expensive for what it is. The breakfast was hit and miss depending on what they... More

I have stayed here twice and both visits have been pleasant. The rooms are clean and facilities were in working order. Good wifi connection in the rooms and the rest of the hotel. On Wednesday evenings Tanzania night is thoroughly entertaining and a great taste of Tanzania. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good night's sleep,... More

If my only requirements for a hotel was in the city center, working air con, and wifi in the room this hotel would be ok for one night. But what greeted me was power outages with no explanations and bugs! I met with reception and was lured by the talk of a gym, pool, aircon, and wifi. However when I... More

Thank you for your review. I will definitely look into your case more carefully, discuss it with the staff and together we will try to sort out any issues for the future. The Peacock City center is under renovations at the moment and we should have informed you about that. All Suites Side would probably meet your requirements better until... More

Overnight stay was ok. Slow service. Ok rooms. Most power outlets in my room were out of order. Slow service is typical in many hotels. Check in, then go to the next kiosk to pay then return to get your key. It took 45 minutes. There was nobody else there but me.

Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms especially in the new wing, good breakfast included Beautiful pool/bar area. Walking distance to ferry and although it's a bit of a walk you can walk to the fish market. An open market right next door. Traffic in town was terrible, but the hotel was great.

Good enough for a night or two of stay. Nothing much to speak of in terms of facilities. Seemed accessible but for horrible traffic jams. Easy to locate - most drivers know the place. Rooms are OK for a short stay. Value for money.

This hotel is located near downtown Dar es Salaam. I have been here several times before for business reasons and most of the time I have had the same problems. First, arrival and then get to hear that there is no room although reservations have been made. It will be OK in the end, but it is not nice to... More

Located conveniently in the downtown of Dar Es Salaam, Peacock is my choice when staying in Dar. Neat rooms with all necessary appliances, a pool (very rare in the downtown hotels!), and delicious food. Breakfast seemed good as well, the fruits are perfect in Tanzania so to be honest I only had those.

I would have to say the staff here were really very helpful and friendly. But the hotel itself just lets itself down with a series of really bad management decisions. For a mainly business hotel, having a live band play every Wednesday night (until after 11pm) is a stupid decision. Even with earplugs I was unable to sleep from the... More
