A fabulous location right in the medina. As with all medinas, you probably need a guide to find it! Our driver dropped us close by and the staff helped with bags. One review here comments on the streets and navigation - yes it;s hard, so if you don't want to cope with that, you should avoid median hotels. But if... More

My husband and I were staying for two weeks in Spain, which also coincided with our 5th year wedding anniversary. and totally unknown to me, my husband surprised me with a trip to Tanger via the Ferry from mainland Spain, as much as the sights and smells and characters of Tangers were truly amazing and somewhat overwhelming. The Dar Sultan... More

Charming rooms, very well decorated and unbelievably friendly people. You should speak a little bit of French or Arabic, but you're also welcome if you're only speaking english. The terrace is a dream with a beautiful view, all in all a perfect place!

To say that the Dar Sultan is a beautiful place does not do it justice. It is history, character, beauty, culture, and soul. The staff and owner are welcoming, accomodating, kind and helpful, the surroundings are totally charming and unique. The rooms are very comfortable, our rooms were on the third floor, there are so many little nooks with fascinating books... More

Dar Sultan is a beautiful little hotel with kind, friendly staff and a gorgeous cat. The cat might just swing it for you - if you really don't like them, don't come; but if you do, and are swithering between a number of cute boutique hotels, the cat should make your mind up, because she will greet you on arrival... Here is my story starting at the beginning. It is very difficult to find this Riad. Without the help of people who speak arabian, french and english you will not find this Riad. Even for my driver and guide it was difficult even to drive and to get in to this part and region of Tangier.Of course he needed to... More

Our one night stay was not enough at the Dar Sultan! It is most definitely the hotel I will return to on my next visit toTangier! Why you ask? The decor first impressed me. I felt like I was drooling when I stepped into the hotel and marveled on how beautiful decorated it was. We were greeted very warmly with... More

Our extended family of 7 stayed at the Dar Sultan for a couple of days at the end of July 2013. It was our second stay in this wonderful guesthouse. The owners and staff are extremely attentive and kind and will bend over backwards to meet everyone's needs. The location is fantastic, just inside of one of the gates of... More

The guesthouse is nicely decorated and perfectly situated. The price was on the high side by Moroccan standard but in general we got what we paid for, especially for the room at the very top which has a private terrace (that is to say if you have much time to spend in your room), even though the shower in the...
