The hotel itself is quite tired, rooms are ok, nothing more and hallway to the rooms are dark and quite scary to be honest. The good thing there was breakfast, fresh...tasty and something for everyone. I wouldn't recommend this place fore other, specially because there is so much more hotels near by where you can stay.

It\s not as classy as the famous Minzah (nor anything like as expensive), and it could do with some modernising, but the Chellah has a great location (just ten minutes from the medina or seafront), a good deal of charm (the pool gardens are delightful) and truly wonderful service. During the week I stayed there in November, the staff could... More

A central hotel and easy to get to - not on the main drag which is a +. The nearby school makes you feel you are in a living breathing place and not in a tourist enclave. Breakfast was excellent and ample. If you want to enjoy Tangiers and tangerines, this is the place to go.

In a nutshell don't go to this hotel. we drove past nice hotels on the seafront, down a busy side road to the Hotel . quite a rough area with people sleeping on path near hotel. room was shocking, unable to lock door from inside, so wedged it shut with case. only light that worked was in bathroom, tv was... The hotel is situated in a rough part of town as reflected by the security guards on the door, and the street kids trying to get near our coach. Also several rough sleepers. We were in a rail tour party, and we and most guests had a problem of some sort in the room. There seemed to have been little... More

We were booked into this hotel for 2 nights as part of a tour from Spain with Viator Tours. When we were dropped at the hotel and entered the foyer I felt as if I had stepped into an old 50's movie - not that the hotel entrance was old but it felt exactly what I imagined Morocco to be... More

The doorman is dressed in traditional Moroccan, dare I say, pretentious costume but this is really the only thing about the place that has any has any class. We had booked a double room but were sent to a twin room where only one of the beds was made up. Friends staying in the same hotel also had to request... More

I've stayed at Chellah many times. Yes some of the rooms are dated, but overall, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the overall experience is a good one. Special mention goes to Mustafa, who manages the garden and the pool. He really is a great guy. Great location, nice downstairs lobby, and a good buffet breakfast. Would definitely... More

Once, there was this great Neil Young song. I think, written in the seventies. The hotel was decorated in the same episode. The staff was dressed in an oldfashioned stylish way and went to great lenghts to please us. I found some other travellers complaining. It made me angry and sad. It is not that one is in Morocco and... More
