We have recently come back from a holiday in Morocco. We travelled around a few cities but Tangier was our first port of call. We found La Tangerina off trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. The Riad was excellent, nice location, friendly staff and the Riad itself charming. If you are staying in Tangier then this is definently the place... more

I stayed at La Tangerina at the end of 3 weeks backpacking around Morocco. At Euro 45 per night it was a splurge but it was definitely worth it. The place is like a sanctuary after a hard day on the tourist trail. It is quiet, spotlessly clean and the hot water is plentiful(and at high pressure). There are beautifully... more

Farida and her husband have transformed this house into a spectacular get-away. We arrived, and within minutes were seated up on the roof-top terrace sipping Moroccan Mint Tea. The rooms are comfortable with local wares as decorations. But, most importantly, take advantage of the incredible terrace in the mornings and evenings. Great food, great views, great staff, great pick for... more

We visited Tangier to see the Strait of Gibraltar, and we couldn't have done any better than this. The rooftop terrace was unbelievable, with the strait on one side and the rooftops of the medina on the other. The riad and rooms were pretty and clean, with reliable plumbing in our bathroom. The only problem was that my reservation for... more

Other reviewers have it right.... I doubt there's a better place to stay in the city. The staff friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and unique, and the roof patio simply spectacular. After the hectic and confusing climb from the harbour (our choice, we like adventure :) ), the hotel was a welcome haven, where they supplied us with fresh... more

Wonderful riad to stay right in the kasbah, walking distance to the hectic medina, still very quiet. The roof terrace offers great views of the city and the ocean. Breakfast was very good and fresh. Rooms are small but pleasant. Wouldn't hesitate to go back! more

started our honeymoon in tangier before heading to marrakesh. If it wasn't for La tangerina it would have been a very difficult start to married life! tangier is a difficult place to get used too, but la tangerina is an amazing oasis of calm to escape to. The roof terrace, with its relaxed seating areas and amazing views is incredible.... more

La Tangerina is simply wonderful! This is one of the most unique, beautiful and enchanting places I have ever stayed. A conveniently located oasis of calm within an otherwise hectic, bustling and mysterious Tangier. La Tangerina is 'understated elegance' at its best - simple decor, antique radios (playing contemporary, classical, jazz and traditional Moroccan music), well-travelled trunks, tasteful pictures, stylish... more

We spent 3 nights at La Tangerina in July. While we loved Tangier overall, the best part of our visit was La Tangerina. We had a family room with a main room with2 beds for my daughters and a second room connected by a short hallway with the second bed. It was very comfortable and the period furnishing were great.... more
