We have enjoyed our staying at this hotel, very friendly staff. Perfect location. the view from the window was awesome, inside decor is very nice traditional Moroccan decor. The patio is amazing, the breakfast was very good. The best harira we had in tanger. A+

I have been staying at Continental every spring for over 10 years and it has allways met with my expectations. The building is over 100 years old and represents fine moroccan architecture with zellij tiled walls and stained glass windows. There has been a long process of refurbishing the rooms. I wish the decoration would have been done more in... More

We went there for the history not luxury and we got exactly that. Lunch at the dining room was good, breakfast is also good, got pleasantly introduced to Beghrir (Moroccan pancakes), Khoobz (Moroccan pita), Raghaif (pastry) and best of all, Harira, delicious hearty tomato based bean soup with lentils, spices and meat chunks (never thought I would like bead soup... We got a taxi from the bus station and there was a porter to carry the cases up all the steps. It was like stepping back in time and though it was all very tired though it had got new windows. The bath water was a rusty colour, but at least it was a bath! There was a smoke alarm... More

I stayed for a few nights in this hotel last Oct (2014). It was a beautiful room (double). The hotel is a beautiful establisment built in the 1920s, I think. The location is fantastic. It faces the harbour and the terrace at the top is amazing (you can have breakfast and meals there). The prob was that, after 2 days,... More

One thing to note: the Hotel Continental did not have our booking when we went to check in, but because my husband is super organized, we had paperwork showing that we had made a booking. This might be good to bring (in regards to reviews below mentioning loss of bookings earlier). Because we had paperwork, they checked us in immediately.... More

The reviews of the Hotel Continental at Tripadvisor are very mixed, but our experience was very good. If you book online you're probably paying between 40 and 50 euros for a single room. What you get for that is excellent value, and if you don't have excessive expectations of what you should get for the price, I think there is... More

We originally where not supposed to stay here. The Dar I had booked just inside the medina lost our reservation so we went back to the continental just out of connivence. After hearing why we had returned (we had first stopped here to get a guide to take us to our Dar) the manager gave us a discount on a... More
