We arrived to Tangier on our own car, and have to drive around for a while. It is imposible to get to the hotel through the medina, have to do it from the coast. Hotel is a bit old but it’s being renewed in some areas. We got one double and one single room, for one night. At first they... More

We arrived late and the staff was welcoming and very organized. The price is exceptional. The hotel is right next to the ferry terminal so you can walk there and to old town to explore. It is like an old time hotel turned into a youth hostel but with private rooms and baths. The hotel itself has endless rooms to... More

Just a one night trip to Tangier by ferry from holidaying in Spain. Tangier an experience rather than a holiday! So glad that the hotel was in sight of the ferry port (Tarifa to Tanger) so did not require any persisent local guide to take us there. Reception staff spoke English and really helpful. Standard room, no frills but for... More

We had dinner in the restaurant before heading back to Spain. I was a bit sick of Moroccan food so I decided to have an omelette with chips - big mistake it was simply disgusting. My family had moroccan food that was nice though. We paid 50 euro for 4 people but we had better dinners for less money in... More

This hotel will always receive mixed reviews. If Swedish furniture and modern decor is what you like in your hotel lobby/room, then this is not the place for you. If you are interested in history and culture, and don't mind worn floorboards and old furniture then maybe it is. After having lived in India I did not mind a few... More

We didn't know which hotel we would be staying at when we booked a 3 day trip to Tangier with the Spanish ferry company FRS. What a rip off. The hotel once was probably the place to stay in Tangier with it's view over the port. However that was 100 years ago and nothing has changed. We entered the hotel... More

We were excited to see that this hotel was actually recommended by "Lonely Planet" and thought that we would be getting value for money. However, my husband and I will never return to this hotel! The service at the reception desk is just awful! We were not even greeted. Our passports were just demanded and a key given to us.... More

Stayed in this place late December 2011for a few nights which I booked through the Spanish ferry company FRS as part of an extended 3day excursion deal (Tarifa to Tangiers) The accommodation in room 203 was quite the worst hotel experience of my life. The floor was old bare floorboards with 2cm. gaps between the boards, The wardrobe was woodworm... More

We were wary about booking this place as it has many mixed reviews, some REALLY bad. We caught a ferry from Spain and decided to rock up to reception. The man at reception was slow but he gave us 2 sets of keys and told us to have a look at both the rooms and choose one. The first room... More

A thoroughly decent choice for the transient visitor to Tangier. Stayed one night on my way to Meknès/Fes: clean room (minus the small family of ants in the bathroom, but they weren't bothering anyone), decent in-room dinner, pleasant staff. They held my baggage after checkout while I explored the city, and they called me a cab to the train station.... More
