I stayed at the Ramada Les Almohades in March of 2008. I had a group of 21 students (ages 15 - 19) with me. The hotel is located right on the beach in the heart of Tangier! We arrived in the early evening the the views were superb! All of our rooms were quite large and had balconies - great... more

When we checked into a standard double room, we noticed that the Air conditioning was very poor, despite being on the coolest setting. The next morning, it had completely shut down and we weren't getting any coolness - not even on the fan setting! After two sleepless nights and with an unsettled 8 month old baby, we made numerous complaints... more

The hotel was labelled 5 star but it was more 2star hotel. The walls of our room are very thin and you can hear peoples conversations and TV noises. The food that was served to us for dinner was pathetic. It was not even local moroccan food but so called "International food." The service we received was average. We will... more

Great location on the sea front, central to the city, fabulous sea view. I had a huge room, extensive balcony and spacious bathroom, very clean and tastefully decorated. Only ate breakfast there, which was fine, large selection with a lady making fresh breakfast breads for you, and the bar area is attractive with the occasional entertainement laid on. Also, the... more

We stayed at the Ramada Tangier for one evening at the end of 2007. A very smart hotel, with one of the biggest rooms I've ever stayed in and a great view across the beach and out to sea. Extremely comfortable, modern room, with huge bathroom. Very clean inside the room and throughout the hotel. We had some problems sleeping... more

This hotel was really, really bad! Think "Ramada", and you think "decent", yes? WRONG! We arrived in our rooms, (my husband and our 13-year-old son in one, myself and our 15-year-old daughter in another), to find them both EXTREMELY smelly and EXTREMELY dirty! (Our socks were all pitch black from walking on the carpet almost immediately.) Hard beds, linen that... more

This is distinctly a tourist hotel, tired and grubby but adequate for a one or two night stay. The room we had was a good size but we had to keep the curtains pulled unless we wanted to give the workers on the construction site across the road an opportunity to look in. The bathroom was okay although the toilet... more

The best thing going for the Almohades is its location right across from Tangier's amazing beach. The hotel overlooks the port of Tangier to the left and you can see the Spanish coast some 12 km's to the north. The lobby and common areas are very nice and the restaurant is pleasant. In the evening the bar/discoteche was smoke-filled and... more

I stayed in the yet-to-be-renovated rooms. My friends stayed in the renovated rooms. Those were throroughly modern and comfy. I actually loved my room because it was a journey back in time, it even had a dial telephone. The key was a huge metal key and I had to use it to lock the door also. The nautical theme is... more
