My partner and I visited Peter and his lovely Maison Arabesque for two nights this week. The Maison is located inside the busy and crowded medina, but Peter will meet you in the easy-to-find Grand Socco, and escort you to his place. Once you are inside this beautifully renovated and restored house, it is calm and peaceful, and quite spacious.... More

We put in a trip to Tangier on our Spain/Portugal holiday and expected a noisy hot and stressful stay. When we arrived at Maison Arabesque in the heart of the medina, and found it such a beautiful place we were truly amazed, and decided to extend our stay. . The owner was a really nice host, the great breakfast was... More

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the charming Maison Arabesque, and it met all our expectations. Peter, the wonderful host, kept us well informed about all the necessary details well before our arrival in Tangier. He has transformed his riad into a lovely small hotel, paying great attention to detail and guest comfort. We stayed in the... More

Maison Arabesque is a perfect place to stay a few days if you want to taste the local atmosphere of Tangiers and don’t mind the noise of the souk. It is in the center of the medina and as Peter will be very helpful to meet you when you arrive, and bring you to his place, you will be part... More

Our stay with Peter at Maison Arabesque was easy and pleasurable in every respect. His beautifully restored dar or mini-riad is close to the edge of the medina for easy access, and yet far enough into the maze of souks and restaurants to be fascinating. He booked a tour guide for us for half-day, suggested restaurants, looked up the hours... More

We had an amazing stay at this riad in the center of the medina. From the moment I emailed Peter (the owner/host) he was extremely helpful and agreed to meet us at the Grand Succo and walk with us to his place. He was always available to help us and provide information for anything we asked. The breakfast on the... More

The Maison Arabesque is a brilliant place to stay. It is in an easily accessible location in the Medina and has a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms and the entire house are beautifully decorated and designed. It has an amazing roof terrace where you are served the most delicious and extensive breakfast every morning. Peter, the owner couldn't be more helpful... More

We took the 2 rooms - The Sheltering Sky and Paul's Room for ourselves and our 2 teenagers. We loved the decor, the ambience and the outdoor spaces. Peter was a lovely host, who gave us the run of the house, internet access and trusted us to check out whenever we wanted even when he wouldn't be there. It was... More

I stayed three nights in Tangier with my 9 year old son. The Arabesque is in a perfect location, just inside the medina of Tangier. Close the the Grand Socco and the new parts of the city, and right in the heart of the medina. The house has beautiful common areas especially the amazing roof deck, where the host often... More

Peter, the multilingual Dutch owner and host, is a remarkable fellow who clearly intends to become a part of the Tangerians of exotic fame and lore by becoming the owner and host of the ‘must stay’ hotel in Tangier, through his reputation of offering excellent service in a truly beautiful hotel. The location allows for a complete transformation of your... More
