This november my friend and I stayed for the weekend at Maison Arabesque. The first thing you notice that when you enter, and leave the busy and dynamic Medina of Tangier behind, you find a beautiful and quiet house with a very luxurious look and a wonderful light coming from the glass roof. The owner Peter welcomed us with drinks... more

the hotel is in the heart of the medina and is more like staying in a small, beautifully decorated moroccan home than a hotel. Fortunately it is run by a European who speaks impeccable English so we had zero problems with communication and booked our 3 day visit on-line with ease. It's tricky to find at first but we arranged... more

After a little trouble finding the Grand Succo, we were relieved to find Peter still waiting to guide us to the riad. The riad itself has be beautifully restored with much care taken in the preservation of the original character of the house while still make it modern and elegant. Our room, the Sherazade, did not have an ensuite but... more

This was our first stop in Morocco; we only stayed one night as we were using it more as a stopover than anything else. And what a stopover - we were overwhelmed not only by the beautiful decor, but also the warm and friendly reception. The owner Peter came to fetch us from the Grand Succo, and really made us... more

I stayed at Maison for 3 nights with my husband last week & it was sheer bliss. Despite Morocco's overall rep for stunning design instincts & Marrakesh being overrun with lush & gorgeously appointed riads, I had a tough time finding a stylish riad in the Tangier medina online. Maison is much more perfect in person that the photographs or... more

We arrived by taxi from the airport and were met by our host who guided us to the Riad where we were welcomed with drinks. Peter provided us with a very useful map of Tangier and plenty of local info. Maison Arabesque is a beautifully restored Maroccon home with attention to details, from special soap in the bathroom to a... more

My wife, adult daughter, and I recently had the pleasure of staying in Maison Arabesque. It was a beautifully restored home a short walk from the Grand Socco. Peter, the owner, is a delightful host who has elegantly furnished the home in an eclectic manner, mixing new with the old. He prepares a delicious breakfast on your schedule. He also... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Maison Arabesque, a recently renovated Riad, in the Medina. The Riad is well situated and ideal for visiting Tangier. We were able to walk everywhere, although taxis are cheap and easily available. Peter, our host, kindly arranged for a taxi to meet us at Tangier airport and then met us in Rue d’Italie, on... more

From the moment you walk through the door, Masion Arabesque is breathtaking. The building itself is historically and architecturally stunning and the interior decor and attention to detail makes you feel like you are staying in a grand townhouse. The quality of breakfast is fantastic and we found ourselves sitting around chatting for ages afterwards, such is the draw of... more
