Because we were travelling by train, this hotel was an excellent choice because it is only 5 minutes away from the train station but that is the only reason you should stay here! Faded glory all over (if it had any glory in the beginning at all!). Luckily we only spent one night here. Although I do have to say... More

This was our first stop in morocco and it wasn't great, the communal areas are very smoky and the hotel itself is looking rather tired. The room wasn't bad but not great either. As long as you're only after location and a clean room then you'll be ok.

The Balima hotel is a good location to stay in Rabat. I 've been there for the second time and if i will go to Rabat again, i will stay in the Balima hotel again. The hotel are placed in front of the parliament. It has nice rooms and a nice area outside in front of the hotel.

Great location but thats all though. It probably used to be one of the the best in rabat but thats decades ago. cheap, great location, hmmm and for a night or two okay. Wouldnt take my girlfriend there. Service lazy, rooms dirty and old carpet , breakfast not good, dirty old hotel who needs a clean up. Girls in the... More

My daughter and I have just spent 2 nights in the Balima and we could not have wished for a nicer hotel. Our room was situated on 3rd floor opposite the parliament. It was clean and comfortable with excellent friendly staff. I would highly recommend it as a central place to stay in Rabat.

The hotel has a perfect location. The room was very clean, everybody was helpfull and friendly. I have been in a lot of hotels. Some 5 star some not. It makes travelling worth the trouble to have different experiences. There were clean, white towels, a piece of soap, hot water, and a good bed. What reason would I have to... More

Being in such a central location - 5 minutes walk from Rabat Ville station, right on one of the main avenues of the city - definitely gives this hotel an advantage.Unfortunately, I did not find other reasons that could make me return. Maybe they put me in one of the lesser rooms, but my room was small, dated (including tv... More

While the location was very good - the negative experiences with this hotel are enough to prompt me to be firm in my 'poor' review of this establishment. I traveled with a group of coworkers here - the booking being made by an experienced travel agency with strong ties in the area - so I was really expecting a nice... More

Another late review. The Hotel Balima was our temporary home while visiting Rabat, the Moroccan capitol city. It is located just opposite the Parliament Building and the train station is just a stone throw away. The rooms are well appointed: the floor is fully carpeted with a tasteful interior decor. The size of the room is just big enough for... More

We line in Tanger and traveled to Rabat to visit friends. We had a truly enjoyable stay at this old grand hotel. The location is great with very good service, clean and attractive! The sidewalk cafe out front is a charm as it is set back from the street, making for a tranquil experience. We would definitely stay here again.... More
