Rooms are basic but quaint. The staff was always helpful and the rooms were large. The beds aren't the most comfortable but the price is really great and it's perfect for a few night's rest. Right in the heart of Rabat, across from Parliment it is a quick walk to the medina, Parliment, the train station, and the tram stop.... More

We stayed only for a night at Hotel Central. Rooms are not super-clean and they are a bit damp, but given the relatively low price it was quite satisfactory. The shared toilet was rather clean. Location is very convenient: 2 min walking from the train station and very central indeed. Staff was very nice.

Not a nice hotel - got caught out and needed to find somewhere to stay. The hotel is dirty, the shared toilets weren't cleaned in the 24 hours I was there. Beds are uncomfortable and the staff are pretty unfriendly. Avoid.

Staying at Hotel Central is a treat while in Rabat with its colonial flare, and spotless spacious rooms. It's quite central indeed; surrounded by many restaurants, bakeries, cafes. And it's just a few minutes walk away from the train station. The staff are quite helpful and friendly--Houda, especially. I used the hotel as my refuge, and place of equilibrium before heading... I live in Taroudant, but have had to come to Rabat a few times this year. I've just finished reading all of the reviews of Hotel Central, and think that most of them are more or less accurate, but I also think that giving this hotel a 1 out of 5 is extremely unfair. I had stayed at the Hotel... More

I've stayed in this hotel since 1965, when rooms cost a dollar and it was run by a French woman. It now has Moroccan owners and is clean and well-kept, and indeed very central: about 3 minutes walk from the main train station, and around the corner from the main, palm-lined avenue. The high ceilings, tiled floors and big French... More

The hotel has great location. It's located very close to the main road in Rabat, 5-minute-walk to the railway station and 10-minute-walk to medina and other tourist attractions like kasbah and seashore. The rooms are big and basic bathroom (it's divided from the room by a simple wall, but it's good enough). The rooms are not so clean, but it's... More

For 150DH a night we got a large room with a shared shower. Decent bed with clean sheets. The place could do with a bit of a refirb, but great value with a very central location opposite the parliament building.

Very near the railway station, very good location Of course, it's a budget hotel, at 150 DH you cannot expect much However, the room was big and airy, the important thing is to get a room facing the street, big window with lots of light...a room facing the back looks much darker and gloomier! There was some simple furniture and... More

The Hotel Central in Rabat is by Rabat standards fairly inexpensive (but not by Moroccan standards). The foyer is nice and appealing, the rooms are a bit shabby and not the cleanest - but for a couple of nights stay whilst waiting for the Mauritanian embassy to issue us visas it was OK. It as the name implies is pretty... More
