We have stayed in riads in several cities in Morocco; Riad d'Or was one of our best experiences. Aside from the extraordinary setting and furnishings - this had clearly been the home of someone rich and powerful - the owners and other staff were wonderfully helpful. For anyone visiting the beautiful city of Meknes, it is difficult ot think of... more

My friends and I went to Morocco for the weekend to get a more in-depth experience of the country. The Riad d'Or alone gave us that. All of the staff treat you as if you're family, and they are always there if you need something. We had to leave around 6:30 a.m. our last morning, and the manager woke up... more

I can't say enough good things about my stay at the Riad D'Or in Meknes. Located within the medina, this historic riad has been totally and beautifully renovated by its hospitable owners - a young Moroccan and a young Italian. I've traveled a lot - more than one 'round the world trip. The Riad D'Or provided both charm and comfort.... more

Very nice riad, with all the amenities you need. Excellent location , close by El Hedim square and right in the middle of the medina. This of course means you'll probably be wake up by the muezzins for the dawn pray as there are plenty of mosques in the neighbourhood. The riad is quite big and located in a lovely... more

This was really a great find. The hotel is in a XXIII century riad, beautifully renovated few years ago and located in the medina, but very easily accessible. In the renovations, they managed to keep a lot of the orginal house (which I asume belonged to some very rich family because of stunning decor). The rooms (and the lobbies in... more

This hotel is perhaps the most beutiful hotel we have ever stayed in. Every room is unique. One could spend their time just visiting the various rooms, hallways, and furnishings and be amazed at the mosaics and architecure. The owner is hospitable and generous and the service is dedicated and warm. Staying in this hotel is an unforgettable experience. It... more

I'm really looking forward to being there once again!!! as soon as you enter the door, a glass of mint tea to enjoy the shadow in one of the two courtyards; every single detail in the furnishings shows a delicious taste, in between tradition and comfort; reach your room, wear a bikini, now you can move to the terraces: one... more

The Riad d'or is a beautiful place to stay, the decor just takes your breath away. Add to this that the breakfast is amazing, and the hosts are very hospitable and helpful. The room was very traditional and beautiful, the only negative aspect being the hardness of the bed. To summarise, should we go back to Meknes we'll certainly be... more

We have just returned from a week trip to Morocco. The riad is magnificent and we regret that it was merely one night stay. You can expect first class service and enjoy magic atmosphere of the interiors. Comfortable rooms with air condition, hot shower 24/7 and all day menu are available for guests. Warm welcome from the owner even at... more
