The positives: the Riad was beautiful, the location within Meknes perfect to discover the souk, the room was beautifully decorated, clean and quiet. Enjoyed the food at dinner more than the basic breakfast. The negatives: the room did not lock from the outside (something which should have been mentioned upon our check-in), and the service was not great. Upon check-out... More

The riad is located near the most important door of thr city. Is very simple find it. The building is very charming with big rooms. All the rooms have the private bathroom. The breakfast is very good with typical maroccan foods. The staff doesn't speak English, just Arabic and French.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are big and comfortable, not so bad bathrooms and easy to find in the medina. Breakfasts are ok but the crew is a bit lazy or they have problems with serving the meals as you have to wait a long for it. Dinners at the riad are quite expensive and in my opinion not worth. It has been hard to comment on all the Dar's and Riad's we have been in Morocco, if you choose reasonably well they are all very interesting and overall very beautiful and relaxing mini-worlds. d'Or was no exception in this way, the building is amazing, walking around is great, with small rooms to relax, a very nice yard where breakfast... This hotel is like a beautiful enchanted secret garden, it's had some many hidden areas, charming and exotic. It was also easy to find off the main the street, though centrally located. The room was fabulous and beautiful wooden carved ceiling from the 19th century. The price was reasonable for beauty and charm. We also had dinner, and the food... More

Room looked like it was just renovated. Very clean. Building very ornate and interesting. Worth just walking around the building. Very authentic location. Food is great. Best tajine I had on the trip. People that work there don't speak the best English. Only take cash - no credit card. A little hard to find, but people were very helpful giving... More

The location of riad is ideal if you want to stay in the medina but also access the imperial part of the city as it is just a short walk. The riad organised us a half day taxi to Voulibis and Moulay Idriss for 400dh and we were picked up and dropped off at the medina. The breakfast the next... More

We booked 12 rooms at Riad D'Or for our wedding, having 24 of us stay here. My husband and I were so impressed with the incredible attention each staff member gave us. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always extremely helpful and polite. The meals were prepared fresh for us each day and were excellent value for... More

We have just enjoyed a week at this fabulous Riad - everything was perfect. The staff were absolutely wonderful, very friendly, efficient and went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are all different and very nicely furnished and the decorations are remarkable. I cannot believe that anyone could write a negative comment... More

What a fantastic whirlwind of a weekend in Meknes made even more special by staying in Riad d'Or. The rooms were really specially designed even if a bit of a maze to find! But the service was above and beyond anything I have seen in real long time. The staff were more then willing to help with any and all... More
