When I arrived in Meknes I looked at least seven other hotels near Bab Mansour before finding and staying at Ryad Bahia. As a solo female I felt safe and at ease, which was not true of a few other places. I didn't have a reservation but was welcomed warmly. The price was fair and the accommodations were clean, spacious,... More

The riad is in a great location in Meknes. The proprietors were extremely welcoming and kind...very helpful and accommodating. The rooms could use some help and cleaning. The shower had not been properly cleaned from the prior guests; glass on the light fixtures was broken. Overall, some fixing up would be in order.

We arrived by train from Rabbat and were met by a staff member from the hotel at the square. He brought us to this beautiful hotel, right in the Medina. A very traditional, authentic Moroccan Riad, decorated in beautiful colors and traditional accessories. Thankfully every room had an ac which blew warm air because it was very cold in Morocco!... This was the 2nd best hotel I stayed in for my 2-week jaunt around Morocco. The food was impeccable, including the breakfast (which you can not say about most breakfasts in Morocco). In the evening, it was a leisurely traditional dinner of several courses. You can choose between several Moroccan dishes. What also made it memorable also was the communal... More

We only stayed here for one night but wished it could have been more. The welcome and room were wonderful, the staff extremely friendly and the food was beautiful. The only slight niggle was that to get to the Riad we had to call ahead from the square and were pestered on multiple occasions by a man trying to get... More

Alas we were only here for one night, but more than happy to return and highly recommend! We checked in and were shown our suite on the terrace upstairs, although beautifully decorated and more than adequate for one night we got upgraded to the most gorgeous suite as the heating was not working! the suite is the picture given above.... I had a very tasty typical maroccan dinner with my friends in this pretty charming ryad just inside the medina. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of Bab Mansour and Place Hedim from the roof top terrace.

Ryad Bahia is a gem, embodying true Moroccan hospitality and reflecting Moroccan decorative arts and history. The ryad has been in the family for 3 generations and the sumptuous decorations, copious plants & family photos reflect this. The family still lives in the house, very conveniently located near the museum on the main square, and they graciously make you feel... More

This is a very loud place. It is right next to the loud speakers for the call to prayer! There is no shower hose and no soap. The facility is gorgeous and the signage to find it from Meknes' main square is very good. Should be a "5" but really without a bit of care from the owners it is... More

We spent 3 nights in early October at this lovely Ryad tucked inside the medina. Genuine warm hospitality from the owners and a lovely quiet room on one of the roof terraces. Breakfasts (included), were cooked fresh, with large servings. Just the thing to start the day. If you want to dine in at night, let them know by lunchtime... More
