This old hotel must have once been quite the place to stay as many news clippings in the reception testify. However, it still has rooms that are big and spacious, and there is a grand feel to the whole thing. Good price, about £10 per person in a tripple room. AC is not standard though and can be a bit... more

The Hotel Majestic is only about 2 blocks from the train station in the Ville Nouvelle which makes it convenient after a long train ride. Meknes itself does not have much to offer compared to Marrakesh and Fes, but it's a good launching point to Volubilis. The hotel is a 1930's style and it looks like it hasn't been updated... more

Spent a very pleasant 2 nights here in October 2008. Friendly and clean and very good value. Only criticism would be that the towels were quite old and very small but everything else fine. Good location, easy for parking. more

I felt I had to add a review of this hotel after reading the previous review which complained of the room not being clean. A pity they did not approach the staff about this as I am sure this must have been an oversight. My own room was spotlessly clean, the bed was made up each day and fresh towels... more

We chose this hotel from a fomous international guide. It was given a high selection rating by them. We didn't have a booking as it was low season and we took the risk of getting a room. We asked our taxi to wait whilst we checked out the availabilty. Professional, friendly service and yes we could have a look at... more

We recently stayed at the Majestic and it was excellent. The people working the front desk were amazing at providing us information, reserving us a grand taxi and sending us to the best restaurants in town. The room was very clean, had warm water and a pleasent atmosphere. It was a little noisy, but for your money you can't expect... more

I spent two nights at the Hotel Majestic and would certainly return there. Reading the comments of previous reviewers, perhaps I was lucky, as I was allocated a very spacious room on the first floor with equally spacious en suite bathroom (with bath and matching plug). I paid only 454 MAD for a two night stay, inclusive of taxes and... more

If you're travelling in winter be aware that the radiators in the rooms don't actually work and it's freezing at night. The beds were very lumpy and there was a lot of noise so it's not a good place if you want to get some sleep. The bathrooms in some rooms are much better than others so make sure you... more

The words "faded grandeur" were never more appropriate. Cheap as chips - 285Dh double ensuite including breakfast - and right next to El Amir railway station. Only a 10Dh taxi ride from the old city. Stay here, have a perfectly comfy stay and you'll save enough for a posh riad in Fes. more

This hotel had lots of charm with dark wood interior and tiled floor. The rooms themselves opened up onto a nice courtyard--though the appointed chairs were plastic : ( No elevator so be forewarned should you have mobility issues. Regardless the room was clean when we viewed it but there was a bit of a smell coming from the bidet... more
