The riad is inside an ancient palace, very well maintained by the owner, who is really really kind and lovely, absolutely not bothering as somone written formerly. It's pleasant to speak with him and he's always ready to give help and suggestions if requested. Room and restroom were both very clean and the terrace is amazing for the view and... More

We arrived in Meknes by train. The Riad had a taxi waiting and we were guided to our Riad. The passage and entry in the Medina gave us some doubts at first but it turned out to be a wonderful place with a lot of history and Moorish architectural detail. There are many marble stairways that had us a little... More

If you can skip it, better do so. The owner of the riad shouted and yelled at me and also threatened me with a police because I invited a friend to see the riad because he has never been in one. His wife agreed to let him, then later I do not know what happened. He did not apologize!!!But he... More

It wasn't so nice as I've expected. Rooms are very small and dark. It has strange smell inside. It is difficult to explain what is wrong with this riad, but the atmosphere inside is very bad like in prison or funeral house. It's not very clean. The breakfast is poor for Moroccan standards and it was worst breakfast during all... More

We stayed here for one night in late march. The weather was cold, we were cold and the riad was cold. It never warmed up. The riad was fairly straightforward to find and the host Jacques was very pleasant and helpful, but we did not overly enjoy our stay. The water in our shower never heated up despite running it... The riad is a former palace in the center of the Medina, so a little difficult to find it if you have never been in a Medina before. The riad is very well preserved, decorated, very clean, and very calm, the cherry of the cake is the fantastic terrace, where you can enjoy of the best view of the city.... More

The breakfast is poor for Moroccan standards. It gets crowded in the small place and it is served by only the owner himself (he really needs an assistant!). I have to wait for 25 minutes for coffee then another 15 for a piece of bread. I have to just skip it one day to go early to Volubilis. Sorry to... More

On arrival there was confusion as to whether we had a booking or not. This despite obtaining an email confirmation just before leaving Australia, and then again phoning ahead from Marrakech two days before arriving, to be doubly sure. We suspect they had messed up, and assigned us the emergency backup room, number 6, at the very top of the... More

This is a beautiful riad, with a wonderful terrace on top which gives you great views of the city. Good location within the medina, yet is very quiet inside. Atika is a great host and recommended us a restaurant where we had our best meal in Meknes. Would recommend if you're going to Meknes.

We stayed at the Riad Atika for 3 nights. It was a great experience. Our first time in Morocco. The Riad is charming. The rooms were beautifully arranged with traditional furnishings. The air con worked well in the bedrooms. The view from the terrace is fantastic. The host and hostess were wonderfully welcoming, helped us with booking Taxis, gave us advice... More
