I stayed at Riad El Ma in January 2014 (just now getting around to my review). I found the Riad on-line while I was in Marrakesh and planning my journey north and read other reviews on TripAdvisor. It did not disappoint. The setting was beautiful - the details in the courtyard were amazing. I loved my room (the Blue Room)... More

Riad El Ma is a really old, traditional Riad, and the interior is like a museum, with great tile work, plaster relief designs, and a palm tree stretching up three stories. It was hard to find the Bab Mansour gate to park, so to save time I got by the wall, and paid a petite taxi $10 dirhams (about $1.25... More

The riad is beautiful and rooms spacious. The terrace and courtyard are lovely. Make sure to ask for dinner in advance. It was delicious and fun. The owner was incredibly welcoming as were the riad's employees. They gave us directions around the medina and set up a day trip to Volubilis. I highly recommend a stay here! We wished we... More

A very nice riad in the heart of the medina. The two Aminas are delightful and so helpful. We had arranged to be collected from our riad in Fes by their taxi driver. Kamal arrived promptly and was a great driver. So much so that we also used him to take us from Meknes to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss. He... More

We arrived in early evening after the drive and touring from Rabat. Our guide escorted us through the maze of streets of the medina to the Riad. We were shown to the roof top terrace for mint tea and cookies. Our guide had expected that we would eat there however there was some sort of mix up and altercation so... More

We stayed here for two nights. Lovely personal and warm welcome. A gorgeous tranquil setting in the middle of the bustling medina. Very quiet & cool courtyard appreciated after the heat of the day. Relaxing & attractive terrace. We enjoyed the best tajine ever the first evening so decided to eat there again the following evening - no point in... More

My partner & I spent 4 nights at Riad El Ma on a recent trip to Meknes. We booked directly with the manageress(es) Amina & Amina who replied promptly and accommodated our plans which changed several times during our stay. The Riad is conveniently located at the edge of the Medina near Place El Hedim and Bab Al Mansour, and... More

Our room was nice, although a bit dark, but that's because we booked the Blue room on the ground floor (handy if you have heavy luggage though), but the TRUE highlight of this riad (beside its location and being very easy to find) is the FOOD; we had the most extraordinary tasty, wonderfully cooked dinner of all out stay in... We recently had the good fortune of staying in the Riad El Ma for four nights and we had a wonderful stay. The Riad is absolutely beautiful and very well put together (we have been in Morocco for over two weeks and it is by far the prettiest Riad that we have seen so far). The two managers of the... More

Meknes is one of the 4 imperial cities of Morocco, but still not on most tourist itineraries. The people are friendly and helpful - the local police officer took us to Riad El Ma (and it was about a kilometer from the parking!). The Riad itself is simple, small and unimposing but well kept, the staff are all women and... More
