I have just returned from another wonderful stay at the beautiful Riad Shaden, Marrakech where the staff - Manager Youssef, Assistant Manager Said and Sanaa and Sadia - go out of their way to make your stay perfect. We were met at the airport by a driver arranged by Youssef, and escorted to the Riad by Said. The Riad is... More

Recently visited here with my sister. We had a lovely trip, this small Riad is run by friendly helpful staff. It is situated within walking distance to the market place, but is hidden away nicely. The room we had was very comfortable, perfect for our needs.

Marrakech is an amazing place to go for a short break. You have to stay in the old city to get the full experience. Your senses are assaulted from all directions & then you walk through the doors of Riad Shaden and it is calm & tranquil. The bedrooms are comfy with great beds, good bathroom and good much needed... Riad Shaden is a sanctuary in a bustling Medina. Relaxing atmosphere and customer service second to none. Tailoring trips to our own requirements. Supplying meals at the last moment because of our indecisiveness. The most friendly and helpful staff I have met, especially Ronnie, Shona and Sahid. The cockerel next door also kept us highly amused. Other guests were friendly... More

We had a great stay at Riad Shaden. After a nightmare journey to Marrakech which resulted in us being 5 hours delayed, Siad waited up for us until we arrived at 1am and even made us some food as we had ordered dinner for our arrival. He and Youssef were so helpful from booking a three day trip to the... More

Just returned from an amazing trip to Marrakech! Owners of Riad Shaden (Shona and Ronnie from Edinburgh) were so kind and their help and advice was invaluable. The Riad is comfortable ,clean and very affordable. Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff and we were looked after exceptionally well. A big thank you to Youssef, Said, and the... We returned back as happy travellers enriched by our family experience. Youssef and Siad looked after us very well. The Riad was clean; the breakfasts were plentiful. We choose two trips recommended by Youssef – a day trip with a group to Essaouria and a trip to the Ourika Waterfalls with a guide to ourselves. The latter was remarkable. Climbing... More

Riad Shaden was a lovely sanctuary in a turbulent, but rollicking city! It is well situated for walking to the Jemaa el Fna, which can take about 20mins - beware the street kids looking to help you get to the square, they can take you a longer way and then ask for money, and then its never enough - I... Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and in particular the amazing food at Riad Shaden. The only comment I would like to add is in response to your bizarre (and in your own words paranoid) suggestion that our staff would somehow be secretly filming you. I know that many Hollywood blockbusters... More

Just spent a week in Marrakech with my wife @ Riad Shaden (7th To 14th Feb 2015) and what a wonderful experience it turned out to be. My wife had visited Marrakech before and told me to expect a cultural adventure and boy was she right. A pre-arranged ride to Riad Shaden (Thanks to the owners Shona and Ronnie) from... More

We stayed at Riad Shaden at the beginning of February. Youseff, Siad and the other staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. The riad is ideally situated and only a short 10 minute interesting stroll from the main square. The raid is lovely inside, very clean and there is a sun terrace where you can... More
