We returned back as happy travellers enriched by our family experience. Youssef and Siad looked after us very well. The Riad was clean; the breakfasts were plentiful. We choose two trips recommended by Youssef – a day trip with a group to Essaouria and a trip to the Ourika Waterfalls with a guide to ourselves. The latter was remarkable. Climbing... More

Riad Shaden was a lovely sanctuary in a turbulent, but rollicking city! It is well situated for walking to the Jemaa el Fna, which can take about 20mins - beware the street kids looking to help you get to the square, they can take you a longer way and then ask for money, and then its never enough - I... Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and in particular the amazing food at Riad Shaden. The only comment I would like to add is in response to your bizarre (and in your own words paranoid) suggestion that our staff would somehow be secretly filming you. I know that many Hollywood blockbusters... More

Just spent a week in Marrakech with my wife @ Riad Shaden (7th To 14th Feb 2015) and what a wonderful experience it turned out to be. My wife had visited Marrakech before and told me to expect a cultural adventure and boy was she right. A pre-arranged ride to Riad Shaden (Thanks to the owners Shona and Ronnie) from... More

We stayed at Riad Shaden at the beginning of February. Youseff, Siad and the other staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. The riad is ideally situated and only a short 10 minute interesting stroll from the main square. The raid is lovely inside, very clean and there is a sun terrace where you can... More

Other reviewers have praised the friendliness and helpfulness of Youssef and his staff, and we would whole-heartedly agree. Nothing was too much trouble. A delightful place to stay - quiet too, despite the hustle and bustle of medina life that goes on all around. We would recommend a day trip to the coastal town of Essaouira, booked through the riad... More

We have just spent a lovely 4 days at Riad Shaden. The Riad is a 10 minute walk to the main square but is all the better for it. It is in a bustling neighbourhood area which really added to the experience and watching locals going about their daily business was fascinating. We did see other Riads just off the... More

Stayed 3rd to 10th January, our first time in Marrakech. A wonderful stay at Riad Shaden, who went above and beyond when we had to rearrange our trip, we appreciate all your help with Lastminute.com and accomodating us at the last minute! Youssef and Said were fantastic, so welcoming and smiley, thanks to them for organising trip to the mountains... More

My husband and I stayed here for a week over the new year. It was perfect. Our suite was beautiful, large and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with wonderful fresh orange juice and freshly cooked pastries etc. Youseff, Siad and the girls could not do enough for you, all you had to do was ask and it was done, no fuss... Great Riad with Friendly and helpful staff. Located in old town about 15-20 minutes walk away from the main square and its hubbub, the Riad was a calm refuge. Had a lovely cookery lesson in the kitchen, staff also pointed us to a great hamam. Excellent roof terrace and OJ at breakfast. Definitely recommend accepting the offer of the Riad... More

Lovely Riad, excellent friendly service. Room is small but cosy. Breakfast is delightful, especially the fresh orange juice! Not a luxury place by any means, but very comfortable. Can be a bit noisy in the morning if you like to sleep in, but this is the issue with all Riads.
