My i-phone was stolen in my room while I was having dinner outside the hotel. The room was regularly closed, the key left at the reception. The i-phone was under charge, both cell and charger have been stolen. My main disappointment is addressed to the Hotel's Director, Mr. Aziz, whose opinion is that I should not leave the i-phone in... Based on the very edge of the walking street and souk, this hotel is very dark and breakfast is served on the roof top, which is 4 flights of dangerous stairs to climb. The staff are very friendly but do not bother clearing any tables so the whole eating experience is very messy. Get your breakfast early to make sure... More

The hotel is located just in the heart of the Marrakesh (2min walk to the main square). The rooms are not amazing, but good for Marrakesh standards. The nicest thing is the inner yard. You just enter the hotel from the crazy crazy street and can find your calmness spot. It feels very crazy, that outside is so busy and... More

We stayed one night in the Riad Omar because it seemed to be the best we could get, everything else was booked out. We were ok with the room which was not very beautiful, but had 3 comfortable single beds. In short: * the customer service is horrible * bed bugs in Riad Omar hotel * the owner wouldn't give... More

Great location. Clean room. Breakfast is not worth waking up for. I had a room on the first floor and at times it can be noisy. For the money this is a good choice and I would stay there again. Lots of places to eat close by and taxis are easy to get if you need one.

I visited Morocco for a trekking holiday in September. As I was joining a group a hotel had been pre-booked for the nights immediately before and after the trek. However, because I travelled a day earlier I booked into the Riad Omar for the first night. It was my first visit to Marrakech and walking into the Riad Omar I... More

We arrived at the Riad at lunch time having been set down by our transfer car 40 yards from the Riad our cases were put on a little cart and we were walked down the street to the Riad entrance. The first glance was not impressive but my lady had said that she wanted traditional not modern and when we... More

I was pretty apprehensive as we ascended the stairs... I was not sure what to expect! But, wow! Great Morrocan food... Salad, meat couscous, fruit plate very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere out of the sun and away from the crowds!

Riad Omar staff was very accomodating, my husband and I arrived at 8am and they had a room available and allowed us to shower (we took the night train from Tangier). The location is great right outside the main market. The rooms were very spacious, and clean. We used their laundry service and they got our clothes back within 24... More
