We stayed at the Riad Djebel on the first stage of our honeymoon in Morrocco. The hosts Sylvian and Miguel were so helpful and friendly, they really made it easy for us. They booked taxis, made recommendations and booked restaurants for us - they even let us look at our wedding photos on their computer. The staff were also great... more

Miguel, the owner, was hospitable and receptive. He made our stay in our last two days in Morroco interesting and stylish. His design and decor of the riad (after seeing quite a few) was the most original, meticulous and chic. The breakfast on the terrace was refreshing and wonderful and in such a "jungle mumble" city it was a sanctuary.... more

Riad Djebel was very clean, extremely stylish and comfortable but if you want more out of your holiday experience you will be disappointed. After staying in other Riads in Marrakech where the staff were amazingly friendly, hospitable, and went out of their way to help us, we found the hosts at Riad Djebel aloof. It was extremely difficult to navigate... more

We are so sorry due to the perception that you get during your stay at the riad, we really apologize if we looked aloof to you. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to establish a relationship with guests who stay just for one night. We think that people coming just for a night need to take the most of Marrakech...

Miguel made us feel like family. The Riad was lovely. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the rooftop terrace. The room was comfortable and quiet. Miguel was always extremely helpful. We were picked up at the airport as per his suggestion. I would highly recommend this Riad. Our only regret was that we could not take Miguel with us for the... more

When we arrived in the Medina of Marrakech we were worried by the state of buildings, narrow dusty streets and the noise. However, open the door to this Riad and you are transported to a calm, quiet and cooler atmosphere with helpful staff and wonderful hosts. I recommend asking for at least one home cooked dinner during your stay. There... more

Sylvain and Miguel run a truly superb riad. The riad itself is gorgeous; it is elegantly decorated a guest feels as though she is in Morocco. Further, the space is quiet and calm--a welcome respite from always lively (and sometimes chaotic) Marrakech. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, with a very good a/c. A complimentary bottle of water and the... more

Just back from a wonderful stay with Miguel, Sylvain and the team at Riad Djebel. We stayed for 5 nights in early June 2009 and have been so well looked after, from our initial late night arrival and orientation by Mustapha, our leisurely rooftop breakfasts and the lovely clean rooms in this calm oasis. Whatever you think of the vibrancy... more

Beautiful Riad and Miguel and his staff could not be more helpful. Ate here one evening and the food was excellent - in fact everything about this place is excellent. We would definitely recommend Riad Djebel as the place to stay in Marrakech. more

We stayed in two riads in Marrakech, either side of a trip to the coast, both very good, but different. Riad Djebel was the first, and I am pleased we stayed here first. One reason for this is that the location was a little further from the main square and the souks than many riads (a 10 min stroll). For... more
