wonderful spot, delicious and authentic cuisine . at the foot of the mountains and 5 minutes away from the palmerai. but most pleasant is the fact that it is far from marrakech noise. Careful and discreet staff . We feel that we are at home even on vacation.

The hotel has beautifully decorated rooms. You can taste the best of Moroccan food and the best thing is that this hotel is not an ordinary hotel, it is more like your own summer house. Owner, Mustafa is a great host and he treats you as a friend rather than a customer.

Myself and my partner visited Mumtaz Dar in May and found ourselves just outside of Marrakech in a little oasis which was Mumtaz Dar. It was in a beautiful and peaceful setting that was perfect to return to after visiting the Medina and Souks. The hospitality was fantastic as was the food. The food was so fantastic we came back... I made this long weekend in Marrakesh with my son and I have chosen Mumtaz Dar after the suggestion of a local friend. Mostafa picked us up at the aiport and guided to his beautiful riad. Colorful and discrete it has the quitness and the warmth you want for a romantic holiday. Mostafa has a great sense of hospitality and... More

Where to begin !! I have never before experienced such fantastic service, this is a real unique treasure of a place. Mostafa the owner made our stay absolutely unforgettable and made us feel very welcome as well as bending over backwards in arranging things for us to do and see. I really can't stress how incredible the service he and... More

We had a wonderful time at the Mumtaz Dar - stunning location at the foot of the Atlas mountains, beautifully decorated rooms, lovely staff and the most amazing food. Mostafa, the owner/manager, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful - having worked for years in the tourism industry, he was a mine of information about Marrakech and Morocco in general.... A truly beautiful traditional residence in Marrakech away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but still within easy reach of the attractions. Nestled in the hills, this is an outstanding place to stay and the service and friendliness of the team is second to none. It really feels like a home from home and the facilities are... More

We had a the most perfect short break between Christmas & new year. The Riad is stunning & the service was superb. Mostafa was the perfect host who over & above the call of duty for my partners birthday, it couldn't have been more special. The location of the Riad is not so great if you want to be in... More

Mumtaz means 'superb' (one of the many things we learned during our stay in at Mumtaz Dar), and this qualification is all but stolen for this magnificent Guest House. The house is built in an oasis of peace and calm at only 15 minutes from the hectic city centre of Marrakesh. It is a realm of beauty, refinement and indulgence.... More
