Location: Excellent, 5 minutes from the Jemaa el-Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque and the Souks. Artisan center opposite is great for souvenirs without the hassle of haggling. Hotel: Common areas very clean. Room a little tired. A lamp didn't work and the tiles could have done with a thorough clean. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a bonus. Food: Great variety... More

I have advised Thomson of all these points but they chose to send me a mail asking me to review the holiday rather than actually read my review to them and respond. While we were not disapointed that much by the points below they are worth a mention. 1. Rooms not ready upon arrival at 1200, when people check out... More

I do agree with all the good points about this hotel in most of the reviews. Location, staff, pools, rooms, the welcome - a great place to come back after the "wonders" of Marrakesh. But my wife was ill for five of our eleven days there and I was ill on the morning of our departure and am still recovering five... More

Reasons to avoid: Cold bland food, dirty dinning tables and cutlery Staff that are all smiles until you have a problem Rooms that Thomson are proud to tell you were upgraded less than 12 months ago but are now falling apart. The level of finish in our room was very poor The coach from the airport did not have one... More

Firstly how do you evaluate an hotel these days.....4* england , usa etc is a little different to what similar maybe in tenerife greece etc. In accepting that then this hotel is definately 4* . The staff are excellent right down to the cleaners. The restaurant manager "hassan" (I think that was his name) was as helpful as anyone. The... More

No hassle from the Thomson team. Their if you want them. Problems with rooms and heating cooling system as on 4th November entire system turned to heating when 35 degrees outside, room warmer. They did provide a portable air conditioning unit. They lack understanding of what travellers expect. Good all inclusive package very close to Medina would recommend. Friendly staff

Arrived in Marrakech got through customs fairly quickly (although on the way back it took an hour to get through so be prepared for a wait the immigration guys don't hurry).. Straight out the airport to the left to pick up the Thomson coach all clearly marked. A 10-15 minute drive to the hotel. On arrival you are greeted with... More

Just got back from Morocco where we stayed for a week at the Medina Gardens. This hotel was great for couples, our pool view room on the 2nd floor was bright and clean, the food, which was a buffet style with a variety of themes, was generally well cooked and presented giving us a feel of the Moroccan tastes. However I... My partner and I have just returned from one week at the Medina Gardens Hotel, Marakesh, Morocco. First things first be prepared when flying in and our of Marakesh for a long wait at the airport. Upon arrival it took us over one hour to get through passport control and about the same when leaving. Unfortunately the Moroccan officials like... More

I've never been on an all inclusive holiday before, preferring to stay closer to the local community and contributing to their economy. But I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Close, walking distance to the bustle of the central old town square. The food was fantastic, the staff were pleasant and happy. Looks very well run to me. The... More
