Today is the 10th day here for me in Morocco, so I feel pretty comfortable writing a review for it now. It all went wrong starting from the train station pickup. I called upon arrival at the station, was told to be picked up in 5 min. But waited 30 min, called the hotel again. Responded me with the 5... more

I was fortunate to stay at the Dar Eliane with three friends and what a fabulous Ryad to stay in, with its vibrant colours and calming atmosphere ,It's in a lovely "locals" part of town where there are not as many tourists, but still within walking distance to the main square. The roof terrace has unrivalled views of the rooftops... more

A wonderful relaxing quiet and charming place to stay and you will find you will need somewhere quiet to relax as the centre of Marrakech particularly at night is complete and utter madness but the Dar Eliane is a perfect retreat. This Riad is authentically decorated and our room was great, with reversible air conditioning a great shower, and a... more

I haven't really got a great deal to add to the other reviews, as this is a great place to stay. The rooms are really unique - the Riad experience is so much more enjoyable than the standard chain hotel. We stayed in Jawhara room which is on the 1st floor and has a balcony to the bathroom - not... more

This authentic Ryad is fantastic, hidden away down a maze of alleys In the middle of the bustling souks, so you never have to walk too far (unless you get lost!) The rooms were decorated beautifully in traditional styles and fabrics. The hotel staff are extremely courteous, friendly and always available to answer any questions. The Ryad arranged an excellent... more

The service was excellent - nothing was too much trouble, from arranging the cab from the airport, trips out, tea at any time, help and guidance in navigating around the medina, recommending excellent restaurants, the meals we had in th hotel. The decoration, general ambience, and peace and quiet was unbelievable. All the facilities were faultless, and the roof garden... more

Nov 13, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Marrakech is hectic, noisy and colourful, full of donkey carts, hand carts and scooters, but the minute we stepped through the heavy wooden door of Dar Eliane we found an oasis. Its four rooms are individually decorated with unique features and although you are within the medina and a couple of minutes walk from the souks and the main square,... more

We stayed for 4 nights at Dar Eliane and had an absolutely wonderful visit. The Ryad is in a perfect location only a short walk from the centre of the medina in Marrakech. The first thing I noticed was the contrast from the bustle and noise of the medina. The staff are wonderful and really make you feel at home... more

I stayed with a group of friends and we could not fault the place, we arranged for the transfer from and to the airport when we booked, and when we arrived at the Riad we were given a warm welcome by John the owner and all his staff, who were most attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Like a mini... more
