At first I was a bit of scared because of negative reviews, but when I arrived I didn't regret that I chose this hotel. The owner of this place is a very hospitable lady and the rooms are very nicely decorated. I especially recommend tent rooms although they tend to be bit noisy at night.

We stayed here for four nights and we. can honestly say it was the best four nights sleep ever....NOT A BED BUG IN SIGHT!!! Tiana the owner was so obliging and could not have been nicer . The location in the old Medina is perfect for an initiation into the frenzy of Marrakech . We found a taxi driver who... More

When in Marrakech, stay in a traditional Moroccan riad (house). We chose Dar Salam, a small, budget riad in the city’s congested medina (old quarters). The famous world heritage-listed Djemaa el-Fna is here – a live action spot with hundreds of food stalls, street sellers, snake-charmers and so much more. Djemaa el-Fna is walking distance from Dar Salam, located in... More

We stayed seven days (23.4-30.4.2015) in this little Riad. It was very easy to find from the main bus station, just use your GPS and do not believe those "guides" who will reap you off and show a much longer route to the Riad. If it is your first time in Marrakech, like it was ours, it is fair to... More

Just back from my first trip to Morocco with my girlfriend. Dar Salam is perfectly located on the edge between the new and the old part of Marrakech. Nice place with traditional interior and the hostess Tiana was brilliant, tried to pleas us all the time. Budget place. The rooms very basic - no TV, around the door and the... More

Booked a room as a single female travelling to Marrakesh. I chose this place due to the reviews I found on here and the ease of finding the Riad as I had been warned some were down quite a few back alleys. The Riad was lovely and clean, my room was on the roof and beautifully done up with ample... More

After careful consideration we chose to spend our new year in marrakech. We searched for a long time to find the right place to stay. We wanted something true to morroco rather than staying in a hotel or resort. So we settled on Dar Salam. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. For the money we payed for a 6... More

We booked a room online for the first day. After we arrived and settled everything the madame owner asked if we want to stay more days and we said ok since we like the room here. The madame said she will book for us no need we book on line and we agree on that. But the next morning she... More

Well we're should i start, this is our last day in the riad andit has been fantastic, the madame/owner is fabulous and speaks good english and fluent french it just feels like we are at home. We stayed in one of the tent rooms the noise didn't bother us it was quite funny listening to people below on the streets... More

Was blown away by the interior when we entered. Had dinner with a group of 10 to celebrate the end of our 2 week tour. It was downhill after that. Order was taken wrongly and they forgot to deliver some drinks and deserts. The food was average at best. The entertainers were jaded and tired. Waiters have an interesting technique... More
