Booked a room as a single female travelling to Marrakesh. I chose this place due to the reviews I found on here and the ease of finding the Riad as I had been warned some were down quite a few back alleys. The Riad was lovely and clean, my room was on the roof and beautifully done up with ample... More

After careful consideration we chose to spend our new year in marrakech. We searched for a long time to find the right place to stay. We wanted something true to morroco rather than staying in a hotel or resort. So we settled on Dar Salam. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. For the money we payed for a 6... More

We booked a room online for the first day. After we arrived and settled everything the madame owner asked if we want to stay more days and we said ok since we like the room here. The madame said she will book for us no need we book on line and we agree on that. But the next morning she... More

Well we're should i start, this is our last day in the riad andit has been fantastic, the madame/owner is fabulous and speaks good english and fluent french it just feels like we are at home. We stayed in one of the tent rooms the noise didn't bother us it was quite funny listening to people below on the streets... More

Was blown away by the interior when we entered. Had dinner with a group of 10 to celebrate the end of our 2 week tour. It was downhill after that. Order was taken wrongly and they forgot to deliver some drinks and deserts. The food was average at best. The entertainers were jaded and tired. Waiters have an interesting technique... More

Dar Salam is a great option for budget-aware travelers in Marrakech. The riad is centrally located and is within walking distance of the most notable attractions in the city. The only issue we had with the location was that it was quite hard to find at first. The service quality in the riad was excellent. The owner and staff are... More

One of these places where you feel rather at friends house than in hotel. In addition to that -large clean rooms, great food and a some of the most nice personel you could meet. For this price the best option. The only small negative point- not in the very center of medina...

Although we had real problems with locating the riad (it's in a side, narrow street, without any directions on the way) and find ourselves in a room with no water (fortunately just a temporary problem), Dar Salam has a nice atmosphere, pleasently ecclectic decor and friendly staff. Mind that not all members of the staff are fluent in English and... More

This riad is small, nice, clean, but with little troubles. Really nice and helpfull staff, familiar athmosphere. Good but expensiv cuisine - dinner for 200 dirhams. Some rooms have windows only to innere space, its stiller. I was full satisfied with this.

We arrived mid afternoon at Marrakech airport to be let down by our "booked" transfer. No-one arrived and we were left to find our own way to the Riad. Despite telephoning for help nothing was forthcoming. Arrived in what looked like a dirty street in a dodgy area. Once inside slightly more comfortable. Two young men (guests) welcomed us. No...
