I enjoyed the Ryad Dar Ganou so much the first time that a year later I decided to go back, this time for a full week of ease and comfort and the legendary hospitality that is Dar Ganou. The owners, Veronique and Jean-Marc, have built their reputation on a quality of hospitality that is quite exceptional. When I arrived late... More

We just wanted a cheeky week away and Marrekech was our chosen destination never having bee before re did not know what to expect. Did some research and found the Riad Dar Ganou which had great reviews. We are delighted with the hotel it is small but full of character and th hosts are beyond friendly and helpful. Fabulous Riad in the heart of the chaotic Medina, its easy to find with the help of the locals who are always on hand to take you & your luggage to the door for a few euros. When we arrived down the dark tunnels you will arrive at a fabulous wooden door which opens up a different world of this... More

Just wanted to say thank you to the owners for such a lovely time at the 2 nights we spent at Ryad Ganou. Nothing was too much effort and we enjoyed sitting around the pool chatting and enjoying the tranquility compared to the near by hussle and bussle of the square. The breakfast was delicious and by far the best... More

At just a 5 min walk to the main Jemaa el Fna plaza, Riad Genou is blissfully quiet, clean, and has an understated charm. After an afternoon of getting endlessly lost in the souk labyrinth, nothing beats dipping your feet in their pool and peeling a fresh mandarin from the Ganou courtyard tree. Veronique and Jean Marc (the owners) have... More

Veronique and Jean Marc were excellent hosts - genuine and generous. They welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately. The Ryad is beautifully decorated and located only 5 mins walk to Jemaa el Fna. Veronique showed us the way to the souk and recommended an excellent restaurant (great food at affordable prices). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and... More

We had the best stay at Ryad Dar Ganou! The service is amazing and Veronique is so welcoming and is really a great host. The accommodation is so calm and relaxing which is exactly what you want after a day in the hustle and bustle of the medina. The breakfasts were fantastic and really generous and we also ate dinner... More

The Riad Dar Ganou has been the best place we have stayed in Morocco. Jean Marc and especially Veronique have been wonderful hosts and could not have been more helpful. The food, the wine, the service and the other staff have been first class. We were made to feel very welcome and it was like a home away from home... More

Stayed in mid June. The location is great, just 5 min to the bustle of Jemaa el Fna. The ryad itself is a peaceful jem within the Medina. The courtyard with a pool offers respite from the heat and is an inviting place to enjoy mint tea & relax to the sound of birds chirping after much walking in the... More

This Riad is just a few minutes from the main square, Jemaa el-Fna and very easy to find. Once inside the door, it's a haven of peace, friendliness, ease and relaxation. I stayed here with my two children, 10 and 11 and they also found it perfect. The pool was a total bonus, absolutely big enough for us all to... More
