Stayed for one night recently in the middle of a 2 week holiday for our anniversary. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The stylish bedrooms (tad dark with windows closed) are around a courtyard but we did not hear anything despite being very close to the heart of the Souk. Dinner was excellent and while... More

This riad is superbly fitted and has excellent staff. The service is impeccable and the food wonderful. It is within walking distance of many of the historical sites and souks. I cannot recommend it too highly. I had all three of my evening meals there all individually prepared and two lunches-enormous portions.

Beautiful traditional Riad, with stylish rooms. It's well situated just off the main Souks and 5 minutes walk from the main square. We enjoyed the lovely roof terrace, although the plunge pool is tiny and shallow.A perfect place to enjoy an evening drink with lots of tasty nibbles. For the evening meal we chose the light menu, which was almost... More

We hugely enjoyed our 3 night stay at Ilayka. The only real mistake we made was to eat elsewhere for two of the evenings; the food at Ilayka was just superb and so much better than in the "recommended" restaurants we tried in the evenings; the breakfasts were also just divine. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful we... More

Every guide book, guide and taxi driver will tell you about the marvellous Hotel Mamounia. Even Churchill said it was the best hotel he had stayed in. Well he couldn't have been to the Riad Ilayka. The service provided by Nadia and Anna and their wonderful staff could not be bettered. The rooms are beautiful, the service impeccable and the warmth... More

We booked Riad Ilayka after having spent a while looking for a beautiful and characterful riad in the medina. Our experience was incredible. Really friendly staff that couldnt do enough for you from booking a restaurant for us every evening, making suggestions, walking us to the transfer through the alleys, offering to take us around if needed. Breakfast was lovely... More

A hospitable haven in the heart of Marrakech, superb accommodation, exceptional friendliness and service. Easy accessibility for and guidance in getting to all the main sites. We'd recommend it for our relatives and friends and for all couples or families with young or older children. Hanan and her team could not be bettered. We endorse all the recent reviews by... More

Fantastic spot to begin our Marrakech adventure. Smooth pickup at airport right to the central square Djemma El Fna. We were meet by Ibrahim who guided us to the Riad. Easy to find in the web of streets in the Medina. Door opened to beautiful courtyard. Great room with fireplace (Islif) on first floor. The manager, Hanaa, was very gracious... More

Who would have thought behind such an unasuming door from a quiet narrow street would lie such a beautiful and traditional Riad. The courtyard is the first thing you see as you enter the riad from the street and it is stunning with a fountain in the centre and the rooms opening into the courtyard on each side over 2... More

We made a 1 night reservation at Riad Ilayka for the last night of a trip to Morocco to celebrate my 50th birthday and could not have made a better choice. Riad Ilayka is situated in one of the nicer parts of the Medina just a few minutes walk from Djemaa el Fnaa Square. Hanan and her staff were available... More
