The start of 2012 came with a pleasant surprise, a trip to Marrakech, Morocco with my younger brother Jeff, who you can find below. Upon arrival into this beautiful culturally rich city, we were brought to the Riad Dar Najat, which we found using this website after reading so many fine reviews. We were immediately surprised to find that not... More

Wonderful riad with attention to every detail without the commercial feeling. The owner, frenchman Oliver resident in Morocco for 25 years, and his wonderful staff makes their riad the perfect oasis in between excursions in the charming and "exotic" but rather kaotic city. When we arrived, we were immediately shown to the rooftop, seated in the warming sun and served... More

Everything they say about Oliver, the owner, is completely true. He's a warm, friendly, talkative Frenchman, with equally helpful staff, especially Ahmed L'artiste. Makes a big difference to a holiday. When he heard that I'd brought my partner here as a birthday treat, he immediately invited us to have dinner that evening. It was the best couscous that we had... I travelled to Marrakech with my mum, Lynda and My sister, Vikki for my first venture abroad. We were warmly welcomed to Riad Dar Najat by Oliver the owner, who immediately made us feel comfortable in our surroundings, on arrival we were presented with breakfast, easily comparable to any sort of banquet, the food was authentic fresh and delicious consisting... We stayed at this Riad for 3 nights, followed by 2 in Essaouira (same owner). We were three female friends celebrating a 50th birthday! I found this Riad via trip adviser and we received what we saw and MORE!! Olivier and his staff were wonderful - so welcoming! Our first visit to Morocco, which was such a culture shock (in... More

Located in the slums of the medina, this shabby little 'hotel' is the worst of all scams. Rooms are tiny, with off-white plaster walls so thin that you can hear your neighbour unzip a suitcase. The sheets were stained, in all three beds we used. The pillowcases were of such poor quality that they were covered in little balls of... More

Dear Guest, We are more than sad to read your comment we don’t consider as an honest one ,sorry to say it. The fellow traveler will make his idea by himself with reading more than 500 reviews which at the opposite of yours..did appreciate staying in Riad Dar Najat. I will not keep trying here..to show that your allegations are... More

This was our second visit to Marrakech and we decided to stay at the same riad that we stayed in last year, Riad Dar Najat. The riad is located within a 5 minute walk away from Jemma el Fna square, in a very quite part of the Old Medina of Marrakech. We had the airport transfer arranged for us by... More

The Riad, the staff, the ease, the help, the food, the ability to make such a trip with my family, was only possible with the help and good, immediate communication with Oliver. A more clean, friendly, helpful, trustworthy group of people i could not wish to meet. We were met at the airport, taken 'home' to a lovely room and refreshments... More

Our driver called the staff to meet us in the square before we arrived. They were there waiting, with smiles to lead us to the riad & carry our bags just a short walk away down a narrow street. They brought us mint tea (which I absolutely love) in the courtyard. We asked about a hammam (Turkish steam bath, a... More
