We reserved a room for 2 nights and when we arrived there were no available rooms. We showed a copy of our email confirming our reservation. They responded that we had not provided credit card information. All our communication was directly with the riad via email and when we returned home we found the required credit card information had indeed... more
Before leaving for Marrakech I read all reviews at this site; I was aware that the Riad was a little difficult to find unless one is taken there by a driver who knows where it is - all you need to do is ask the management to send their driver to the airport to pick you up - and you... more
My husband and I spent four fabulously romantic nights at the Riad El Noujoum. Although it is tucked away down several sidestreets, this is a bonus as the noise of Marrakech is blanketed out once the door closes behind you. We stayed in the Vega room which is located on the ground floor and opens onto the small plunge pool... more
Just returned from a great trip to Marrakech where we stayed in Riad El Noujoum..situated right in the medina...a little off Rue de la kasbar...wonderful...A little unsettling at first as we arrived at night and were taken down a couple of dark passage ways..but when the door opened..a hidden gem..complete tranquility.....pooled courtyard..wonderful rooms. We stayed at pool level....the toilets were... more
All you would imagine a perfect bed and breakfast to be! Very quite, gorgeous décor, super clean, and run by the most accommodating staff. Worth every dollar! Great location in the Kasbah. Cool walk to Jamaa al-Fna square. Pretty difficult to find. The locals don't seem to have heard about the place and you'll have to count on your cad... more
Lovely lovely place, quiet, spotlessly clean and run by wonderful and caring people. The place can be tough to find from a taxi -- it is two turns down a tiny dark street in the Medina, but once found it is worth it. Don't worry about the tiny dark thing -- we are two girls traveling and never felt anything... more
I'm absoloutly gutted that we only stayed in this Riad for one night, we travelled all around Morocco from Tetoine, tangier to Marrakech, agadir & Tiznit and this was by far the best place we stayed. The 5* hotels are lovely but this riad was personal and pleasing. The staff were lovely and the room was beautiful. I think we... more
We spent a week at El Noujoum at the end of October. What a gem of a place! Seldom have we had this wonderful feeling of pampering with the friendliest and smiliest staff ever encountered. Every wish was immediately fulfilled, nothing was too much. The Riad is some distance from the Djemaa el Fna, about 15 minutes walk. Which is... more
We stayed in one of the suites ( Orion ). It did have a fridge unlike that of another review. It was lovely and a very good size. The bathroom was huge, but only had an overbath shower which for this price is not good enough. Service was very good. The roof terrace was fab, but the swimming pool is... more
