First time writing a review I thought it was only right to do one for Riad shama. Absolutely amazing place from the moment you walk in. Its true what previous reviews have put its a "Hidden gem" right in the middle of the busy and vibrant residential area of the medina. Staff so welcoming and attentive. Breakfast lovely continental /... More

We enjoyed very much the stay. The Riad with a pool and a terrace is right at the medina gate. Very easy to reach by car what is important because cars cant drive easily in the Medina. The Riad is real oasis in the busy sometimes very loud medina. We love it. In the morning one can enjoy in the... More

We were not staying here but we were invited here by family to have mint tea. We had a tour of the riad including the roof terrace and bedroom where they were sleeping. This was more than adequate, had air conditioning but only had internal windows. It was fitted out very comfortably. The internal rooms smelled of roses. While we... More

I travelled with a group of three ladies for a very short break to Marrakech and stayed in this typical Riad with the open central square in which was the swimming pool.. It is situated in the area of the city beyond the souks towards the Jardin Majorelle. We had two rooms, I had a double with a quaint en-suite.... More

This place was our first stop off and introduction to Morocco. We stayed here 5 nights. We followed the advice on here and organised the transfer from the airport. Do this, Morocco is intimidating initially (it grows on you don't worry). You really do need the driver to walk you up to the entrance as you will not find it.... More

A quiet Riad which from the inside you wouldn't know you were in a bustling city. Picked up from the airport for 15€. Saved a lot of hassle for a first time visitor. Greeted warmly and by a beautiful fragrance throughout the place. Disappointed by the room which I would fail to call a delux suite. We were told that... More

This was my first visit to Morocco / Marrakech and apprehension is quite normal. Nothing to worry about though. My Riad Shama driver was waiting at the airport to get me there, 15 Euro. I had read on various review sites, including Tripadvisior, that the back streets and allyways of Marrakech would be quite daunting to the inexperienced so my... More

It is right in the middle of the vibrant city and, apart from the cold and darkness of the place (problems which the staff sorted), one of the best places we have stayed in. Food is a bit bland, same stuff for breakfast every day which we helped by taking in our own dates and bananas) but on the whole... More

We recently spent 5 nights in Riad Shama and it was one of the best experience I ever had in an hotel in my life. The staff is amazing and very helpful, even if with some communications problem as we don't speak french. The overall atmosphere is quiet (except for the calling to the prayer every hour but well..we are... More

We stayed at Riad Shama from a week over Christmas holidays. Love the serenity and beauty of the Riad. The rooms are nice and comfortable and service is amazing. The rooms get cold at nights (especially december) but you can ask for fire place to be lit and make the room warm and cozy. Everyone at the Riad is very... More
