The Riad is French owned and run but the owners and main house manager Ali all speak english which helped my daughter and I enormously. Ali, the Mr Fixit really made our holiday he was helpful, curteous and had tremendous local knowledge. He is a real asset to the Riad. The plunge pool on the roof was great and the... More

We stayed in Maison Do for three nights: one night in the Dar, two in the Riad because the Dar was fully booked then. They are very close to each other in a small quiet street, about 10 minutes walk from the Place Jemaa el-Fna. We had a great stay! The owners are very welcoming and helpfull, explained us the city... More

This is a wonderful Riad! One of the keys for us was getting to the Dejemma El Fna Square and on our first day Ali walked us straight there (maybe a 7 min walk) and from then on we were good. We never got lost once on our way back to the Raid. Also the walk is part of the... More

The riad and dar Maison Do are located each in front of each other on the same street. They are owned by two French professionals who live in one of them. I would describe the Riad as a traditional Arab riad decorated with luxury. The Dar, opposite the street, is more subdued, a mix of Arab and European elegance. I... More

A little rough around the edges... The walk to the main square was more like 15-20 minutes rather than the advertised 7 minutes. Be warned if your French or Arabic is not good do not stay here. I have limited French and the employees tried to be helpful but we could not communicate at all as no one spoke a... More

We stayed there for the 4 nights of our stay in Marrakesh. We loved this place for essentially 5 reasons: 1) location was perfect: not too much in the middle of the touristy stuff but very close to everything 2) the owners have obviously put a lot of love and effort into their place, and it shows: they're beautifully decorated,... My husband and I spent three nights at the Dar Maison Do, a riad in the labyrinth of the Marrakesh Medina across the tiny street from the Maison Do. The riad was a quiet and beautiful respite from the hurly-burly hectic of the narrow cobblestone streets, of sellers and beggars, donkeys and motorcycles.. It is an authentic Moroccan habitation brilliantly... More

We had a wonderful visit at the Maison Do while in Marrakech for my brother's wedding. The owner of the Riad, Mme. Morin, was a delightful host and very helpful in explaining aspects of the city life we did not understand. Likewise, the many employees of the Riad were friendly and went to great lengths to make sure our stay... More

My friend and I stayed at the Riad Maison Do for 2 nights in early July 2008. The hotel itself was immaculate and very much a treat to stay in, while visiting Marrakech, but things weren't perfect, and I'll explain. First, the Riad Maison Do was hard to find in the medina, which is understandible, so that's okay. Once we... More

The Riad is about 10 minutes walk from the square and just out of the way enough so you won't be too disturbed, which is definitely a blessing as Marrakech is a bustling and hectic place. It's a small, quaint place in a very open style as most Riad's are, not the best for privacy, but I went at peak... More
