really lovely place, located about ten minutes walk north of jem el fna square. right in the heart of bab doukkoula which is buzzing, local and authentically marrakech but perfectly safe. stylish and cool lower courtyard (both temperature-wise and aesthetically) with a little library room, small dining area and hamman plus plunge pool. great rooftop terrace for breakfast (or a... We stayed 4 nights in the room Violine and found everything to be perfect. As previous reviewers have mentioned, Michael, Michele, David and the staff of this Riad are really helpful and friendly and do everything to make your stay memorable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Marrakech. Squeaky clean, nice food, friendly and efficient... More

We were not sure what to expect when we approached the Riad through the rather filthy souks, but were extremely pleased when David opened the door and we entered a different world. We can only recommend Al Massarah for its tranquil atmosphere with authentically restored design, the attentive yet discret service and the friendliness of the host. We were not... More

We stayed at the Riad Al Massarah recently and cannot recommend it highly enough. The Riad is very well located and although it is in the Medina, it has great access to roads that run around the outside of the old city providing good options for visiting and negotiating around the old and new city. The house is stunning, beautifully... More

As you turn into the street from the hussle and bussle, behind the door to the Riad, peace and tranquility await. Our stay at this Riad was unbelievable, Michael made us feel very welcome on our arrival. We relaxed immediately. Michael had lots of useful information for us and made sure that we were confident about where we were going... More

Loved every moment! We felt safe and cosy in this lovely Riad. Our room was on the roof and we slept with our windows open. The staff was lovely and made us feel at home. Michele was a wonderful host and full of information and suggestions for us and the other guests. Breakfast was delicious as was the dinner we... More

We've just returned after staying in Riad Al Massarah and truly wish that we could uproot this beautiful riad, the owners and staff and take them with us wherever we go. From escorting us from our taxi from the airport to the Riad, to booking restaurants, advice on street food, recommending places to visit, giving us a map and advice... More

What a wonderful place to wind away a few days on a City break. This Riad can truly be described as an Oasis in a City that has a history which is extremely interesting, and historic. The staff, and owners of the Riad were extremely attentive, and our needs were catered for at every level. The room, breakfast, evening meals,... More

We stayed 5 nights in the least expensive room they offer (Saffron). Room was clean and comfortable as was the bath. The latter was particularly well stocked (plush robe, q tips etc.) This room has a table and two chairs on balcony outside the room's door, which is perfect for a nice casual breakfast set for you. While there, we... More

We stayed here for a weekend away, it was exactly what we wanted. Everyone at the Riad was friendly and helpful, the building is beautiful and we can not rate it highly enough. If you are looking for somewhere calm to stay and a friendly face to guide you (and fab food) this is where you should stay
