We spent 6 nights in the Riad Al Massarah. It has a tranquil atmosphere, with very friendly staff. David, our host, was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us very useful advice during our stay. It is an oasis of calm in a very busy city. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a lovely start to each day, and the... more

My sister and I chose Riad al Massarah based on the great reviews it received on TripAdvisor. We were certainly not disappointed. In fact, our experience was even better than we could have imagined. There are so many good things to say about this gorgeous, boutique Riad. Firstly the people are fabulous. Michael and Michel, the owners, go out of... more

We were thisclose to finalizing our reservation at another riad ... thank God it didn't work out because honestly, we could not imagine staying anywhere else. Picture this - a beautifully restored home where the owners instinctively know how to cater to each individual guest. A place that's both beautiful and comfortable with a distinct charm. Al Massarah is truly... more

I cannot rate this place highly enough. The riad itself is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortabke - especially the beds. Breakfast on the terrace is amazing. The location is walking distance of all sights within the riad and taxis are a short walk away. But what makes this riad amazing are the PEOPLE. Michel could not have been... more

This was our first trip to Morocco. Our taxi from the airport (organised by the riad - another great success) dropped us by the mosque where Michel was waiting, seated on a bench with a friend. A boy with a handcart took our luggage and we walked the ten minutes to the riad through a local street market with Michel... more

We arrived with high expectations having read glowing reports about Riad al Massarah in magazines and guide books - all were exceeded. The house has been beautifully restored, and is tastefully furnished. With just six bedrooms the riad is small - it is impossible not to get to know the other guests. There is an air of tranquility and calm.... more

I really can't recommend this place highly enough! The Riad is a real oasis of calm, tranquility and understated elegant chic in the hubbub of the North Medina. Rooms gorgeous, service impeccable and friendly, and a great sun terrace (where breakfast in served) to boot. And your hosts couldn't be more charming or helpful - only Michel was there when... more

We stayed in this Riad for 10 days, our first experience of Morocco. Michael and Michel were exemplary hosts and their Riad is first-class. It is located off a Derb within the old city: no cars nearby so the walk (met by Michael) from the airport taxi via a local souk and narrow streets to the Riad was novel. Then... more

My wife and I found this Riad online while in Fez, and after speaking with Michel (co-owner) on the phone immediately booked our stay at Riad Al Massarah. We felt like throwing a bit of luxury into our Morocco trip, and this Riad exceeded our expectations. It's also not rediculously expensive - amazing value for what you get! Michel truly... more
