We arrived from the airport by the pre-booked taxi at the square near the Riad. The manager met us and guided us in the dark, we would'nt have had a hope of finding it alone.! O.k. it is off the beaten track but don't let that put you off. Its a real traveller's adventure and although we felt a bit... More

We stayed in the sandlewood room at the riad. The airport transfer is 100 dirhams which you can book with the riad The riad is lovely and the staff are friendly and very polite. However I would recommend eating at the riad on the first night as it is difficult to find the riad at night and it would give... More

Riad Merstane is a beautiful, calming and relaxing Riad. We stayed here for 2 nights where we travelled from Adigar in Morocco and back again. We received excellent customer service and advice on the colourful city. Whilst at the Riad we were able to have a home cooked traditional moroccan meal. It was lovely. The Riad is in a great... We returned to riad Merstane this year for the second time to hold a 30th birthday party. We travelled with our three children 5,3 and 7months and had a wonderful time. We were able to hire the entire Riad for a very reasonable rate for a weekend of fun and frivolity for family and friends. The riad is beautiful and... More

This was the first time I had visited Marrakech and where better than the Riad Merstane to begin exploring this fascinating and exciting city. The Riad was perfect, the rooms are well equipped and beautifully decorated. The roof terrace is a wonderful place to escape to after the hustle and bustle of the big square. David, Omar and Rachida made... More

Having never visited a country like Morocco before we were apprehensive about what it work be like. It was an amazing and wonderful experience for us and all of our party who joined us. We were struck by the thoughtful restoration of the riad which made it a very comfortable place to stay. We called it our haven from the... More

We stayed for 4 nights with my girlfriend in this lovely and beautifully kept riad. The riad itself has been nicely restored and its atmosphere is quite calm and relaxing. There we enjoyed of privacy as well as a great company from the owners and other guests. It is located away from the noise and hustle of the Medina, in... More

Just came back from Morocco and enjoyed every minute of our time in Marrakesh and were really pleased that we picked Riad Merstane for our stay. Travelling on a bit of a budget me and my girlfriend were going to stay in a hostel in Marrakesh but looking for something a bit more traditional but not too expensive (and put... More

I would advise against anyone booking to stay at the Riad Merstane. The riad itself is very pretty and relaxing, and the staff were helpful and pleasant, but the area of the Medina in which it is situated was very dodgy at night, making us feel unsafe. This is because the Merstane is located in the poor far northern part... More

As the manager of Riad Merstane and a 6 year resident of Marrakech I feel I must point out that this review is really nothing to do with our Riad but seems to me to give an example of someone who didn't research Marrakech very well before visiting. Anyone who is looking for a "safe" holiday in Marrakech surrounded by... More

I stayed here for three days. This was my first visit to Marrakesh. Prior to going I was quite apprehensive. I am a 61 yr old woman and travelled alone. The Riad is beautifully restored and very comfortable. The English owners and Manager are extremely helpful, very well informed and very good company.
