Marrakech can be truly exhausting - it is loud, dirty and hectic. Yet you are blessed if you have booked with Riad Dar Maia. My boyfriend and I are quite prissy when it comes to cleanliness and service, but we found this Riad exceptionally tidy and comfortable. We stayed in an orange room...what a relief to find clean white bed... more

As has already been said a beautiful Riad in a great location with very friendly staff and Maria is the perfect host - great advice on where to eat, what to see and always on hand with a tasty pot of mint tea! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Marrakesh. more

I have to say it's very difficult choosing which Riad to stay in when you visit Marrakech - there are literally thousands. So in the end I took a bit of a punt on Riad dar Maia (largely because my that's my nieces name!). We paid a very reasonable nightly rate of less than £50, but until you actually arrive... more

We spent our last night in Morocco here, having stayed at a variety of other places in all price ranges, and this was the best of the lot. Although it is rather hard to find (their website map isn't great) and we had to hire a local kid to show us how to get to it from the point where... more

The Riad is soooo comfortable and pleasant to the eye that you could stay there forever....Maria and her staff really made us feel like home and her advice, suggestions, help and her outgoing personality and generosity touched our hearts! We are very delighted having knowing her and so pleaseeeed with our stay in the riad. It is beautifully decorated from... more

This is a really nice riad. The staff is very helpful and friendly, rooms are clean, nice and more private than the average riad. It would be hard to find on your own the first time, so it's best to arrange with the riad for a taxi to pick you up and then show you the way.The location is good... more

A group of 5 of us stayed at the Riad for 3 days last week. We had a wonderful experience...thus my glowing review now. The rooms were fantastic and provided a haven from the chaos of Jemaa al Fna and the rest of the Medina. The staff, Aziz and Zakaria in particular, were incredibly helpful. Even though we showed up... more

My husband and I stayed here last weekend and we loved it. The Riad itself is lovely, very traditional and quaint; I would call the aesthetic shabby chic. We stayed in the Pink Room - the bathroom was a bit small but totally servicable, just remember to bring your own toiletries as none are provided. The bed was one of... more

We had a great time at this Riad. We stayed in the Green Room which is located on the ground floor, the room was quite simple, but was fine for a short break. Breakfast on the roof terrace is lovely and the roof is the perfect place to relax and soak up some sun after a stressful morning in the... more

We have been 5 days in Marrakesh in 3 different Riads: Riad Eden, Riad Chouia Chouia, Riad dar Maia. We found Riad Eden and Chouia Chouia the best. Riad Chouia Chouia isn't very expensive (we paid 57euros for a double room) and the service is very good (very friendly and kind). I add a review of Riad Chouia Chouia as... more
