Dar Jani was perfect in all respects: excellent value for money, fantastic location (only 10min walk to the main square), friendly and welcoming host (Janice).  The room was traditional and cosy, a lovely calm place to escape the madness of the old town of Marrakech.  Janice was a great host and was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay.  I... Having read the other reviews I was keen to stay at Dar Jaani and I was a little let down. Janice is fine, although honestly I barely saw her doing my stay, and on my last dat retured my keys to the cleaner and left! I did like being left to it and the place is clean enough, with a... More

This is a lovely riad, just enough out of the hussle and bussle to relax but very close to everywhere you need to go. Jasnice is lovely and helpful and will help out with whatever you need, like recommendations on where to eat, drink, travel to, avoid etc. Its right in the Kasbah too, so its a nice spot to... More

Janice Taylor, a legendary English woman, an impressive hostess, a great helper with your trip! I was well welcomed as soon as I arrived at Dar JANI. A beautiful traditional moroccan styled place to stay for your holiday. I felt really warm, cosy and comfortable like staying at my own home. spacious spaces with a large lounge, bath room and... It was wonderful staying with my fellow british artist in her traditional riad in marrakesh. This was my 3rd visit and as usual I was able to paint in a tranquil enviroment inspired by exotic Marrakesh.Janice is a jovial and exellent hostess and has always given me an interesting and enjoyable social life in the city.No doubt I'll be back there... I stayed at Dar Jani for two nights during a recent stay in Marrakech with a group of friends and found the house and its welcoming owner to be so delightful that I returned just a week later. Janice Taylor, aka Jani, is a warm, colourful hostess who strikes the perfect note with her help, involvement in one's trips and... More

Our Bus Tour guide introduced us to his English friend, Janice. We wanted to leave our Moroccan tour & spend extra days in Marrakesh. DarJani is a clean, quiet & comfortable haven just minues away from the frenetic Marrakesh medina. Janice is an artist from the UK & the decor reflects her own beautiful taste & the typical Morrocan colours... More

We loved the informality of Dar Jani. Janice gave us a guided walking tour of the bazaar, to get us started in Marrakesh, which was excellent. Thence we were on our own, and we loved Marrakesh. Take your winter woollies if you are there in the off season as the accommodation is all tiled and the courtyard is open to... More

We recently spent a wonderful few days with our 2 daughters at Dar Jani. The owner Janice is an artist from Brighton who made us really welcome & gave us some great tips for making the most of Marrakesh. The riad is small but comfortable and beautifully furnished in the traditional rustic style. No breakfast but there is a small... More
