During my first trip to Morocco, I stayed at at Riad L'Heure d'Ete in Marrakech. The Riad was the introduction to Moroccan culture. It was terrific. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to help out. It is very tastefully decorated by the French owner. I highly... more

My girlfriend and I had a great time in this place: the location is five minutes from the Jemaa El Fna, and whilst you might be a bit intimidated by the short alley-ways you have to go through to get here, it's perfectly safe and we never had any trouble whatsoever. The service is great, Hanane and Mohammed are always... more

A lovely boutique style Riad, in the medina well placed for exploring Marrakesh. Breakfast and drinks on rooftop terrace. Rooms are supplied with some of the best shower gels and shampoo I have experienced anywhere, locally sourced with Argan oil and subtle scents. The hotel offers an airport pick up service that is well worth using as it takes the... more

Last December I stayed at the L'heure d'ete with my family. I requested airport pick up on arrival to Marrakech, which they organized properly. As we arrived, the driver was waiting for us. As the hotel is in the medina, there is no way that the taxi can take you directly to the entrance of the hotel. So the taxi... more

L'Heure D'ete is located within Marrakech's old town walls, minutes from the main square and medina. Although located down a dark alley (as many of the Riads are), once inside the front door, the hotel is newly refurbished, tranquil and beautiful. The rooftop terrace (for breakfast or just relaxing) is amazing! The only down side is that the building seems... more

This riad is neat, clean, quiet, and conveniently located only a three minute walk to the central market square (Jemaa El Fna) in the Old Medina. The staff is friendly and helpful. They were able to assist with good references for outside services, i.e., a day trip driver, hammam (spa), food, a bookstore with books in English, etc. I felt... more

This modern riad is in an excellent location just off the Place Jemaa El Fna in the old town. Although the old town can be quite frantic, once you enter through the front door, which is located down a quiet alley, you leave the hustle and bustle of the Medina behind. The staff are really friendly and were able to... more

Arriving after a stressful journey deciding the hotel we had booked into was not for us we walked into the oasis of calm l'heure d'ete was. The hotel is quiet and cool and staff very helpful despite our lack of french. We stayed in a comfort room for 350 dirhams a night (including breakfast) which while small was spotless and... more

We just came back after spending 4 nights at l'heure d'ete. The hotel is only one year old and is very nicely decorated, spotless and in a great location 3 minutes walk from the main square. We stayed in a premium room (60 euros) which is slightly larger than the comfort room (30 euros). The service was very good and... more

2 Major things let this place down - you are approached by young "hoods" as you walk under dark archways on the approach to it, and the premium room is no better than the standard room, so either go for the cheapest or suite, or book elsewhere. It is an area where most other Hotels are charging between 100 -... more
