We went to Marrakesh in November 2007 for a long weekend, whicle visiting Spain. From Madrid there are 2h flights with Easy Jet, very cheap. I wanted to stay in a traditional marrocan house, a riad, not in a modern hotel. We stayed at Riad Quenza. The riad was not bing, about 6-8 rooms, each with a name and a... more

We arrved and were met as planned by Ali, who we assumed was the manager. A lovely meal and a bottle of wine had been prepared as requested by his colleague Naima, a wonderful young lady who seemed to work from morning till night non stop keeping the rooms clean and preparing breakfasts and any evening meals required. She prepared... more

My fiance and I stayed here during a busy period around Easter, when it was difficult to find bookings. Ali from the riad came to the airport and picked us up (for €15 per person, much more than a taxi) and guided us deep into the medina. Although it´s pretty close to the Djemaa el Fna (about a 10-minute walk),... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Riad. Ali from the Riad picked us up from the airport promptly and took us to the Riad through the souks, stopping on the way to ensure that we were able to get our bearings. Once at the Riad we were given a welcome drink and shown to our rooms. Everything was clean... more

Lovely place in a warren of tiny streets, impossible to find oneself, but the staff will meet you at the airport and escort you, or meet you or your taxi (keep the phone number handy) at a landmark in the nearby famous Jma el Fna square. We stayed in the Zafraan suite, it was lovely, clean, worth the money. The... more

The riad would be impossible to find if you had not been taken there by the manager. Lots of winding alleys, easy to get lost but you do get your bearings. The rooms (we saw 3) are all decorated differently and all look lovely but are quite small. The bathrooms are all very individual and are like something out of... more

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at Riad Quenza in the Zaafran Suite. The property is situated in the medina, down a side alley a few metres from one of the main passages through the souk. It is very quiet and peaceful considering the location. Internally the riad is very clean and authentically and tastefully decorated and furnished. We... more

we arrived in Marrakech at midnight and arranged for the riad managers to pick us up. It is impossible to drive all the way to the door of the riad, as it is situated in the Medina, surrounded by too many little streets, so relying on yourself to find your way is not a great idea. The riad however is... more

We stayed for 3 nights here and I've got to say that the location is excellent for being right in the heart of the Medina. Isham, the fellow who worked at the Riad, was WONDERFUL. He showed us around and was willing to help with anything we needed. We never got fresh towels while we were there, so I guess... more

Stayed 4 nights. The staff were very helpful and accompanied us on some shopping trips. Food was good. Very close to Jemma El Fna right in the middle of the souk area but was very quiet and relaxing. more
