I have read some of the very critical reviews, and yes I can understand that some people may be disappointed with the slightly jaded appearance of the Riad, and I imagine it may be quite cold in the winter months, but to our group of 18 who booked out the entire Riad for a long wekend in the middle of... more

We stayed at the Riad at the start and end of a trip to Morocco and were so pleased to come back after a few days away. The pool was an oasis of calm from the frenetic activity of the city and beautifully lit by candles at night. The service was excellent and breakfast simple, traditional and delicious. Anyone who... more

I felt like Lord Byron, lost in another time. If you're looking for The Four Seasons with a veneer of exoticism, maybe there are places more suited. For us , the Edward was a reminder of a not too distant past, where there were no TV's , phones, focus groups, portion control . You shut the door, find a bit... more

I stayed here in May with my mother and had a lovely time. The room ended up being the huge blue suite and the staff were incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere and decor was all perfect. The only trouble is the location, but this is nothing the hotel can help in having. The staff were happy... more

Our last night in Morocco was ruined by this accommodation. Having stayed at the owner's other property - Kasbah Bab Ourika at the foot of the Atlas mountains we were expecting something equally special. Not so. We arrived after a 3 hour car journey from Essaouira, hot and hungry. On arrival we requested coffee and a snack - the chef... more

Thankfully we stayed here only for the one night. How disappointed we were with this place after staying in several riyads in Morocco! The room smelled of stale sweat and looked like it had seen better days. Fortunately the bed linen itself was clean though. Our room didn't have a lock on the door. When I raised this with the... more

a wonderful collection of second-hand books, thoughtful and helpful staff, an array of terraces and beautiful rooms (the best are those with windows so warmed than the enclosed ones) and views of the atlas mountains. more
