Riad Dar Donab is actually a palace, means bigger than the usual Riad in the Souks. It offers exactly what you expect and dream of when you travel to Marrakech. I cant praise enough this Riad, the pool, service, staff....my husband and i had a wonderful time and Brahim, the manager makes you feel very special. The whole Riad is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, it's whole ambience is one of luxury and how life should be.... On reading other people's reviews, one said the place was tired ... Yes the place in some parts seemed dated, but that's what gave it the character and the timeless elegance . There are I am sure plenty of places to stay... More

We ate lunch at Dar Donab and viewed the rooms for some friends visiting. The rooms are very 1985, with old sofas and tattered bedspreads. The menu is very standard Moroccan (tagines, couscous, brochettes), and my tagine was chewy and overcooked. My wife's salad was a pile of sliced vegetables in a bland dressing. The manager was openly rude and... More

We have just returned after spending 5 nights in the Yasmine suite at Dar Donab (probably the best of the 5 suites as it has its own balcony and privacy) - an absolutely superb experience. The room was large, cool and very comfortable, with a huge but somewhat dated bathroom. This suite has its own terrace with comfortable chairs and... More

The Palais Donab is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had, you are literally staying in a palace and you feel as though you are being treated as royalty. There are only 5 rooms available, so a maximum of 10 guests can stay there and with the number of staff it works out to around 2 staff to... More

I am baffled that there can be ANY bad reviews of this place! And suspect the bad ones are made up by rivals-hence the odd wording! Yes, there is the odd tiny tile or two missing here and there and yes, the bathroom taps look like domething out of Indianna Jones and are a bit clunky but this place is... More

I am reviewing just the restaurant at this establishment which is open to non-residents. My girlfriend and I were staying at a nearby riad and decided to try dinner at Dar Donab. We were so glad we did that we returned again the next evening for another! First of all, the dining room is a beautiful space with a fire... More

I had high expectations after reading all reviews but was extremely disappointed. But my room was small, cramped, run down with holes in the towels, broken toilet bowl, worn up bed. Completely substandard! A real shame as the building is very beautiful and I am sure this was a very nice hotel a few years back. Luckily I only had... More

This hotel is a beauty!! It's completely BEAUTIFUL - every little nook is tiled, there are lanterns and tiled arches everywhere, and the tiled courtyard pool is just a sight to see - there are citrus and lemon tree's and such an amazing ambience around the pool, i think that we took 100 photos of just the pool area alone!!!...
