This was a special occasion for my mum's birthday so we wanted to stay somewhere a little bit different. We have been to Marrakesh before and we preferred to stay in a Riad rather than one of the typical hotel chains since riads are usually located in the old Medina part of Marrakesh and within walking distance of most of... I didn't stay at this hotel but I was recommended to have a meal in the Palais Donab's restaurant as non-residents are welcome and so in I went. The outside, as seen from the street, is not that impressive but I was warmly welcomed and conducted through reception, down past the fountain and small waterfall into the opulent dining room;... We spent four nights here in March, and frankly the property deserves a much higher ranking. The location is convenient to the souks and an easy walk to the square, but is on the quiet periphery of the medina, which also makes it easy to get a cab in order to visit other areas of Marrakech. The staff is very... More

We stayed for 3 nights in April and it wasn't enough. I plan to go back as soon as I can. What a beautiful place to stay. We made the perfect choice and wouldn't stay anywhere else. We stayed in the andulous suite., to wake up in the morning to bird song and call to prayer through the open windows... More

It is hard to find a restaurant in the Marrakech medina that is not over priced or with slow service. As a resident of Morocco and quite skeptical of most restaurants in the Medina, I found Palais Donab a pleasant surprise. Dinner by the pool on an April evening was lovely. My Mohito was perfect and the food, while not... More

We very much enjoyed our visit to Palais Donab. We were passing and went in on the off chance of a table. The manager was able to find us a table, even though it looked full. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was very good and a la carte. One of us is vegetarian they were happy... More

We stayed for six days at the beginning of March, overall we found the Riad to be just what we wanted. Peaceful, private and relaxing. Although the pool and restaurant are open to non-residents this didn't detract from the overall privacy of the Riad. Our suite (the Koutoubia) was large with two sitting areas, a large and comfortable bed, satellite... More

This hotel - or as the locals call it "Dar El Bacha" - is dating from the beginning of the 20th century. It is a fantastic place, opulent in every respect. Beautiful inner courtyard with a swimming pool in the middle surrounded by orange trees, flowers and about 20 tables at which to serve drinks and meals. Next to it... More

Lovely place for a meal in the heart of the Medina. The decoration and atmosphere of this place has mad me rate it very good. The food was tasty especially the traditional Moroccan tagines (but be warned they are meat meat meat so share and order vegetables). The service however was a little slow and we kept having to get... More
